  1. Hi! 👋🏿 I’ve been hungry too on the puréed stage and I felt the same way. Like did he not take out enough stomach lol. I wonder if I’m not eating enough. Like more frequently. But tomorrow is my follow up and I’m going to start the soft food stage. I’m hoping that I will feel more full with actual food. Also my suggestion would be to plan ahead and pack your food for the time you’ll be away from home!
  2. You're absolutely right! The first week I lost a lb andwas pretty disappointed. Since then I've stayed off the scale and don't plan to get back on until my follow up appointment. I'm going to do a monthly weigh in going forward and trust the process. I do think I'm losing inches though, my scrub top feels looser so that's a nice nsv!
  3. Oh that’s awesome! You’re making such strides already! I’m scared to go on the scale after a disappointing week 1 lol. So I’ll wait til my next doctor’s appointment.
  4. Yea that pain is no joke. But it will subside. It took me a week to not feel intense pain. But everyone is different. Hopefully they don’t prescribe children’s Tylenol like they did with me 🤦🏿‍♀️. Like everyone says, try to get some walking in. It really helps!
  5. Wow that amazing! Congrats on the weight loss so far! Do you mind sharing your starting weight? And I started purees on Wednesday. It's a bit of an adjustment eating such small amounts at a time. But it's doable.
  6. Apparently not everyone does. I’m in that category. According to my nutritionist and doctor, your body is in shock and is prob still retaining water. My doc said that some ppl don’t start losing weight until weeks later. So my advice would be to put away the scale and continue following the stages. That’s what I’ve decided to do.
  7. I sure hope so. I read somewhere that it can take a few weeks to see weight loss in some cases cuz your body might need time to adjust. Btw do you think sipping something warm will help you feel better?
  8. I got my sleeve the same day and I’ve had some significant pain, mainly in the large incision. At least you’re losing weight so that’s a plus! I’m only down 2lbs so far and I’ve decided to stop checking the scale cuz it’s getting depressing. Everyone is different and reacts to the surgery differently whether it’s physical or emotional, so don’t beat yourself up. I hope you feel better soon!
  9. Hello. You're not alone. I got my surgery on the 14th and I'm in a lot of pain myself, mostly through the larger incision site. I've only been prescribed Tylenol which isn't helping. I'm praying that my doc agrees to prescribe an opioid tomorrow. The blurry eyes is quite concerning though. I would get that checked out immediately. What are you currently taking for pain relief?
  10. Have you tried sugar free Gatorade? Maybe the electrolytes will help. I like the purple and clear one.
  11. I'm 3rd day post op and my gas is subsiding a bit. I find that walking helps and I also take gas x every now and then. My incision pain hurts more than anything. Oddly enough, it's only one of them bothering me the most. The one where the stomach came out of.
  12. I love that! Keep trying things to see what you like and dislike. I've heard good things about Fairlife shakes. I like GNC RTD Lean Shakes. Bone broth is gross to me. I prefer the regular broth haha.
  13. So he said that he doesn’t recommend prescribing narcotics right away blah blah blah. Now I’m being told to try Aleve if the extra strength Tylenol doesn’t work. And if that doesn’t work, he’ll prescribe a narcotic. Hopefully it works. I understand why some docs don’t readily prescribe narcotics but I had major surgery and I’m in pain. His fear is that I’ll become dependent. So I guess I’ll have to suffer 😭😭.
  14. That’s good. Is it helping with the pain?
  15. Yea idk why he prescribed that. But hearing from others makes me realize that I need something stronger for sure 😩
  16. Hey Maggie! Sorry you’re not feeling well either. I’ve been alternating between a cold compress and a heating pad. Currently using the heating pad as well. I wish I had a better solution. But walking around does help me a bit as well. Btw what type of pain killers were you prescribed? My doc prescribed children’s Tylenol which has done nothing. So they switched me to XS Tylenol which also isn’t helping 😭😭
  17. Hi everyone. I’m now 3 days post op. It’s currently 3am and I can’t sleep lol. The pain and gas are rough but I’m hoping after a week or so I’ll feel better soon. Annnd my period started the day after surgery. Yay 😩 How’’s everyone’s journey so far?
