Question how long did pain last after surgery? 2nd part did you need to refill on pain medication or were you able to go without?

Happens 2 or 3 times a week. Other then that no pain. I feel great. Please share your weight lose updates or any pain. Thank You.

The pain for me was mainly from the incisions being stiff for couple days, but still able to get up though without being in to much pain.

How come? Would be nice if this post would relieve the nerves. I am 30 days out zero pain feel great

Stage, drinking water and protein drinks mainly. I eat eggs, beans, tonight 200 calories worth of vegetable soup. Maybe that stage 3 or 4 they seem the same.

Update 4 weeks post op: I am not eating much just drinking my protein and hitting fluid goals. Weight lose down 34 pounds. Pain none. Still get nauseous when drinking but it not to bad. How everyone else doing? Still losing or stalled?

Without food: I find a private place so I don't spread my negative energy onto other people around me. Once I spread my negative energy I have found it takes longer to move forward. I like using forums like this and reddit and read about other peoples situations helps me relax.

Update took nausea pill that was provided to me after surgery and felt a 100x better.

16 days post op, down 28.5 pounds. I hit that stage now where it harder to get fluids in I still hit goal of 64oz & 60+ protein, but it harder then previously. Also hunger is way less dont have a desire to eat anything. No complaints surgery doing it job. Just wanted to share my update. How you all doing now? Any good updates?

Update: 13 days preop Pain: None Energy: Getting better daily. Exercise: Just walking Protein: 60+ grams a day. Fluids: 64+ oz a day. Supplements: Baratric advantage 2 calcium chews & 1 multi vitamin w/iron. Weight lose: 22 pounds

I did not have that feeling in stomach like you Nissi, but on 3rd night had some horrible pain when drinking. I stayed up one night no sleep just sipping & burping walking around getting up and down in chair was brutal. Lindsay advice might be best try warm liquids. Move around.

Update been 9 days since surgery and feel great. No pain. Able to drink fluids without issues. Protein intake no issues. Surgery did it job I am not hungry and able to follow stages with out issues. Weighed myself for thr first time, and down 16 pounds.

Thank you both for your responses. I had the Bypass on 8/16/2023 it been a week. Right now I am dealing with fatigue but hitting all goals 64oz and 70g protein with issues now. Just tired I need to push myself to move around more. When did your energy improve ? What stage week?

I got a few questions below: How much protein do you intake a day? What do you drink or eat to get the protein? How long since surgery? I am hitting 60g protein a day. I drink two premier 30g protein drink per day. 5 days out.

Tonight been pretty bad nonstop burping.

Yes I had surgery on 8/16. My appointment was for 530a.m, I got into the surgery room at 7:15a.m. because it took the nurses an hour to setup iv/pic line due to my deep veins. (Used to it) Now waking up from surgety was little difficult around 10ish, but pain medication took any pain away quickly. Idid have a hard time getting my breathing under control due to deviate septum I suppose. (Next fix) I might have been on to many pain medication so that could been reason for hard to breath as well. Next I got into my own hospital room at 300p.m. did some walking around during my stay get surgery air out. then got out hospital next day at 3p.m. so only a 24 hour stay. I am home now and feel stiff in abdominal and incision pain when I move around, but it tolerable pain. I can easily drink my fluids which was a big concern for me. I can stay hydrated without a issue and can take pills easily. Being only 2 days out. I feel fine. Feel free ask any questions here, and excited for your suegety 8/23 Wednesday like myself.

Ouch I hear plastics is the real pain.

Been 24 hours since surgery pain is not bad at all for me. Able to get fluids in walked a bunch last night. When I woke up from surgery it was the worse part. Had horrible breathing for couple hours. Now all good.
