  1. My surgeon is allowing me to go to the specialist and get the needles for shots. Is this a good or bad thing. How long can you take them.
  2. Have you heard any good results from these.

    Surgery Failure

I was only offered the sleeve as it was said I only needed the sleeve and that the others were not necessary. I just had my follow up and they changed my diet because they said I should not still be in the 300s. I should have lost another 20 lbs by now. So now I am on no carbs period and only water, healthy meats and protein shakes for protein since I don't really eat breakfast. Nothing sweet.
  11. I recently had the surgery on May 25th of this year. So far I have lost 30-40 pounds. However yesterday I weighed and have gained 5 pounds. I have only been eating baked chicken and fish and maybe some steamed or boiled shrimp. The surgeon/Dr. desk lady thinks it may be fluid based off she said it seems like I follow most of the diet plan. I make sure I consume no more than 400 calories a day and that whatever juice I drink is only 10-20 grams of carbs. But I don't think my surgery is successful.

Why is that. I heard the bigger you are the more weight you lose but how and why. I thank God I got help before I hit even 400. I knew my weight was out of control even starting at 373 before my journey. I do pray for anyone at 600 to get help. I stress about my weight because of the health issues it has cost me and a lot of friends and family who judge and critized me for it.

    Surgery Failure

My current weight goes from 311 someday to 315. It was bouncing from 315 to 320. Sometimes it will go higher if I eat the wrong thing. I am still only able to eat like 2 bites of something.

Only if my sugar gets low. My sugar levels now if I am not careful go to the 60s sometimes. But weight is still up and down and I am just through. So I consider it a failure. I have only lost 60 odd pounds

It depends. Usually I drink something with carbs once a day. I mostly drink water. But I really am suppose to eat nothing with fat which is why I stick to baked or grilled foods like fish shrimp or chicken. I am not allowed any fatty meats.

I am a diabetic or have been, since the surgery sugar has been no higher than 98 when I check it. But with that said, I have been trained like other diabetics to count carb count by how much the total grams of carbs are in something by the label on the back with all the nutrient info on the back. Example if its has 25 grams of carb i will drink it but anything else like that for that day I wont consume. I do the same with the calories. I try not to eat something that has more than 300 calories total.
