  4. Hello everyone, my name is Danyal and I was banded on July 21st, 2008. Since then, I had lost about 25lbs. In october, I was supposed to get my second fill done, but moved back home to Rhode Island. So, my progress has been since put to a hault, and I just want o get back on the road. I live here in Rhode Island, and have been having trouble finding a good doctor (And affordable) to do my fills with. I was wondering if anyone on here knew of a great doctor local to rhode island that they wouldn't mind sharing with this lil' ol girl. Thanks for your time everyone, I really appreciate it!
  5. I just had my first fill, and my appetite is down.. but I haven't just yet began solid foods seeing how my Surgeon recommended a 48hr gap after my fill. So I understand that my weight-loss will be gradual, but how do I know if it's successful? I just have this false hope that maybe I won't lose weight, or I haven't changed my diet enough...I know I have tried to change my diet and eat less, but I'm not so sure that I've figured out the key of losing my weight. What's the best diet ideas? Does anyone have a failed banding experience? Or, has anyone gone through the same thing? Thanks for reading, Belle
  6. I had my first fill today, and the experience was awful. The doctor could not find my port and had to puncture me about 20-25 times until finally it took. It's about 9 hours later, and I've been feeling this awful shooting pain (probably from the punctures) and a bubbly feeling around my port. Can someone please tell me if this is normal? They told me to expect some gas, or feeling of gas, but it's nothing like that. It's right by the puncture wounds.. someone please reply, I'm nervous!!! And can't get a hold of my surgeon/doctor! Thank you, Belle

    Going to get unfilled

Seeing how you have expirience with lapband fills, can you tell me if it's normal to feel a bubbly feeling after your first lapband fill? I had mine today, and my puncture areas are so sore, and I have this bubbly feeling by my port.. please reply, im so nervous!

    My first fill.

Hello everyone. Today I had my first fill done at the Naval Medical center, and there was just so many complications! My port had moved up, and the doctor had to poke me quite a few times, honestly between 15-25 times. The pain was awful, and I expected it to be one smooth puncture. The doctor told me I would feel some gas, but I haven't. The only problem is my skin and stomach are in pain, and I have this odd bubble feeling where my port is. Is this normal? Please, someone reply. I'm so nervous, I already had such a stressful afternoon! Thank you so much, Belle
