    Total newbie question

I LOVE SF popsicles! And I found SF fudgsicles too! I was banded on July 9th, stayed on the liquid/soft for about 2 wks. I ate chicken and beef broth, SF jello & pudding, SF popsicles, SF fudgsicles, farina, and Ensure. I would also make protein drinks with 100% whey protein powder I found at Walmart, about $12 for a big jug of it and it came in chocolate, I saved a ensure bottle and would funnel in the powder and then fill and shake with water til it was well mixed and full, put it in the frig and then have it sometime in the morning. I found thatif I had it tooo late in the day it would keep me up for some reason, but the 2 scoops gives 52grams of protein!

    Sliming and PB'ing after fill

what is pb'ing? I have had the pain in my chest when I ate something. Man that hurts! I think I have chewed enough or taken a small enough bite, but sometimes I guess my body is telling me that I am not! Before a fill I could eat a banana - after I cant, but I can eat and english muffin with some mayo and a tomato (been cravin them!) - go figure! I think my biggest issue is that I dont eat slow enough, so that my stomach knows it is full...I may eat small bites, chew it really good, but I dont wait long enough between all that for it to settle - I think it is bad habits that I soooooo need to break! Also anyone have issues with being *regular* since the surgery? I finally went back to having my oatmeal this morning, it was the only thing that kept me regular. I had no issues with eating it - THANK GOD! I am new here, just gettin my feet wet!

newly banded on July 18, 08

I was banded on July 9th, and as of Aug 18th I have lost 38pds, so we are like band sisters! LOL! I had my first fill on Aug 18th - it didnt hurt, so know that...and relax it will go just fine!
  4. I had my LapBand surgery on July 9th thru the Kane Center and I will tell you they were the best! I have had alot of surgeries in my life and I was never more prepared for a surgery than I was with this one. I had some issues with my insurance company and they referred me to a lawyer who dealt with the insurance company and between my paper work and their help, I got approved. Everything is laid out so you know exactly what step is next in the process. I had amazing care in the hospital and since July 9th, my last weigh in was August 18th I have lost 38 pds! They have counseling, support groups for before and after. No practice is perfect, trust me I have had my issues with doctors over the years, but I think they are a center of excellence and make sure that whoever gets a gastric surgery done is well prepared by them. But lets face it, we have to actually do the work too, after all this is a working relationship...as we have heard it said before - it dont work unless you work it.
