Aprillg, your situation sounds very normal to me. Not everyone experiences nausea, vomiting or Bps. It usually takes several fills to hit the sweet spot and lose weight consistently. I am almost 4-months out, have not had heartburn, have never been stuck, have not vomited, and have never had the famous bps. I have not reached my sweet spot, but have experienced enough restriction to lose 40 pounds so far. Give it time, you will get there.

Breastfeeding in public:
TQUAD64 replied to Wheetsin's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I totally support any woman who wants or for that matter needs to breast feed in public. I see nothing wrong with this. -
Great response Kat. One can only hope that these babies will be taking care of properly, but with octo-mom deciding t..v show over free nursing care one has too wonder. Now, I just don't understand why Pattygreen and her big ole' church family don't rent a bus, head it over to California, and collect octo-mom and her brood. Afterall, Pattygreen did state that her and her husband will take the whole octo-clan in. I personally, will feel so much better knowing that Pattygreen and her big ole' church family will be helping out and taking care of all these kids.

Hey Lulu, I read that on the thread too that Gloria contacted CPS, but I really don't know if that is true. Other than someone out there did make a contact to CPS, which created an investigation. I know that is true. I might not sure what is going on with the California Medical Board and their investigation with the fertility doctor. I have not heard much about him.

Melissa, I am so sorry that this happened to you and your husband. Your story is terrifying. I keep hearing stories on NPR of the drug war fights happening in Mexico and along the U.S. Border. This is just scary. I am so glad you are alive to share the information with us.

Surgery Wed, 3/4 and I'm so afraid
TQUAD64 replied to dbeers's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey congrats, your big day is tomorrow. Yahoo, everything that you worked so hard to complete has now come to fruition with your surgery tomorrow. Stay away from the phone. Unplug it as a matter of fact. You need "Me" time. Yep, that's right, you need permission to be by yourself and mentally wrap your head around your surgery. What your going through is normal. We all have fears and concerns of the unknown. Every surgery and procedure is different, so I won't bother telling you my story. But I will tell you that what your feeling right at this moment is very normal. and many of us have gone through it. Give yourself a break today; wait that sounds like a t.v. commercial. Allow yourself relaxation time to night as you prepare for tomorrow and begin your journey. Remember why you want to do this. Give yourself a chance at having a healthy life begining with tomorrow's surgery. Good luck! -
Be Careful with the New Fill Procedure
TQUAD64 replied to rcoleband's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Interesting! I have never had a fill done that way. First time I heard about it being done that way. -
I finally started to lose weight again.

Intersting. Nothing like my own personal vibration therapy I do out my house, but none-the-less interesting. -
Hi all! Banded yesterday March 2nd!
TQUAD64 replied to tex_mexie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
As far as the vitamins. Talk to your doctor to find out what he/she wants you to take. I was and still am required to take a two multi-chewable vitamins and two calcium chews. Plus, I take a whole lot of other vitamins that I won't get into here. But your doctor will know what is best for you. I am glad to hear your recovery is going well. Congrats! -
I am so tired of liquids
TQUAD64 replied to derbin247's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Liquid pre-op and post-op diets suck! That is all there is to it, they just suck! But you are so close to moving to the next phase of the post-op diet, so hang on there. You can do this!!! -
Alrighty, I just returned from my bariatric doctor who also believes my thyroid is out of whack. My hormones are working against me.:tongue2: You know it is bloody hell getting older. I am not a spring chicken any more and it takes me longer to recover. And I don't like the fact that I have not been able to exercise for three weeks ...The dizzy spells are maddening. Anyway, my bariatric doctor is willing to adjust my thyroid meds. However, I have my follow up appointment with my OBGYN doctor this Friday, so we can review all the lab work I did last week. I don't want to change the thyroid meds yet, until I hear the news from the OBGYN doctor. We are getting closer to solving this issue. However, I only lost 1.5 pounds in 5 weeks, which is an issue pertaining to the thyroid (OBGYN, Bariatric doctor, and I agree on this). The good news is I did not gain weight, but the bad news is that when the doctor pulled out the fill today, I lost more Fluid. Just .5cc, but last time it was 1cc and the time before that was .5cc. So the doctor placed the fluid back in and I will have my next fill under fluro. I am waiting for an appointment.

I saw it on stage too and it was amazing. The special effects and lighting were spectacular. It was like being at a concert.

Welcome to another round of monthly exercise. Today: 60 minutes treadmill 4% incline 3-miles just walking today. No jogging.:tongue2:

Interesting, why does PG not give octo-mom her hellish scathing wrath of punishments for being a divorcee and being an unwed mom, and being vain, and for being...oh heck the list can just go on with the sins. Talk about qucik to judge.

Oh know no way, did she really say that about prostitutes. How can anyone espousing the word of the Almighty, say something twisted like that about a human being. No one deserves to be abused, murdered, or suffer from a disease, because they are a prostitute.

Why is my band so picky?
TQUAD64 replied to teacherica's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Cookies, ice-cream, liquid Soups (no solids), yogurt, chips (my favorite chips), milk-shakes, mochas/lattes depending what is in them. Some slider foods are good, such as yougurt, but others are not and usually have high calories such as candy bars. You know melts in your mouth and slides right down. -

I would call my doctor today and geth their feedback. I would make sure to let them know about your food consumption the past two-weeks. -
I am hoping the news reports are wrong; that octo-mom did not turn down the free offer of nursing staff and a free home from "Angel" somethng or other. News reports state octo-mom turned down the offers, because the organzation offering to provide the free services stated they would not provide it if the babies were exposed to a t.v. reality show. It is being played in the media that octo-mom turned the free services down so she could take offers of a reality t.v. show. Sounds like octo-mom really has the best interest of the children:scared2: yeah right! If I were her, I would totally accept a free home, even if it was a rental and free nursing care for my preeme babies.

Oh, I know who that is!!!

weight stall....what am I doing wrong?
TQUAD64 replied to Britt_bander_235's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with the other posters. You need to mix it up. Our bodies get use to a routine. I know people say calories in and calories burned equals weight loss. But sometimes, when I eat more, I lose weight. Crazy but true. -
How long have you had YOUR band?
TQUAD64 replied to KikstersRT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
4-months next week and 40 pounds down. -
Regular water vs. crystal light
TQUAD64 replied to mjg12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't see why crystal light would be an issue. I find it way to sweet and use part of the packet rather than the whole packet. :-) -

TQUAD64 replied to teacherica's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You probably don't want to hear this, but most of the foods you are able to eat are slider foods, which makes me think you need a slight unfill. You should be able to eat healthy foods...I would not consider milkshakes, mud-pies, and gram crackers as great nurtition. You might want to talk to your doctor. -
Okay, this weekend I rented and actually watched the following: Body of Lies (Awesome!) Changling (Awesome!) Baby Mamma (Okay) Flash of Genius( Good) Lulu, I love Abba. Bought the movie and have the Abba CD. Love it!
