Hi Theresa. I am doing well. I have been staying away from the cold and flu bug. But I am having some hormonal issues, which have my over all well being all out of whack.
I find out the results of my lab work tomorrow, so hopefully we can get these medical issues resolved.
How did your surgery go?

California sunshine and winner all on the same day. Life is Good!

I believe the child who was smacking octo-mom around is the autistic child. Autistic children have a difficult time with over stimulating environments. Throw in t.v. cameras and interviewers and 8 newborn babies and this child will be having more issues. Why put any of your children through this stress and especially an autistic child. Not fair to the kids.

I loved the movie and Sean Penn is a great actor. I am glad he received the Oscar!

Not so fast everyone! Winner is spelled TQUAD64.

It sounds like an overfill to me, but I am not a doctor. I would not let this go until next week for resolution. I would call my doctor and insist that they see me as an emergency case either today or tomorrow. You should not continue on like this over the weekend. In the mean time, stay away from solids inlight of the fact the some solids are causing you to vomit. Continous vomiting can cause a band to slip and you don't want that to happen. I hope all will be well with you. Keep us posted.

Poll: What did you do after your Band removal?
TQUAD64 replied to fabfatgrl's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have not heard the band lasts for life. My doctor told me that the FDA states the Band product lasts for 10-years. My doctor states is can last longer than 10-years, but that it is a piece of equipment and as such will not last forever. Here are links to the FDA web site and FDA reports pertaining to Bands, just in case you are interested. U S food and Drug Administration Home Page Search Results: GASTRIC BANDS -
Lap Band Slippage - Interesting Article

Thanks for posting. -
Wow, time for a new PC doctor who is more supportive. I believe in being well informed and you should know that not everyone succeeds with the Band. However, medical journal studies pertaining to WLS and in particular banding, show a high success rate compared to individuals who are just on a modify diet and exercise program. Check out the following threads if you have time. You can down load free medical studies pertaining to WLS by using the search tool at the links below. JAMA, the Journal of the American Medical Association, a weekly peer-reviewed medical journal published by AMA Mayo Clinic medical information and tools for healthy living - MayoClinic.com Good luck!

Missing Fluid from the band can be cause for a leak. Does your doctor pull the fill out to see what is left. Have you experienced missing fluid? My next appointment for a fill will be under flouro as well, since I have small amounts of fill missing and can eat a great deal of food at a sitting. However, my overall food consumption is much less than before the band.

The Doctor I Saw Last Night Was An Idiot!
TQUAD64 replied to BabyBluez's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Babybleuz, did you check out the band-day stories yet? It's a great thread that might be useful. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f178/surgery-day-stories-64287/ As far as my story. Yes, I had complications, which resulted in 2.5 days in the hospital. I am doing great now, other than my hormones are wacked out. I took two weeks vacation off and enjoyed every minute of it at home recovering. I have lost 40 pounds so far and have no regrets. -
What is all that clutter behind octo-mom in this video? Her son is giving her a smack down on this video. That is where, I would have excused myself from the interview to deal with my child. Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

Yeah, what is up with us banders having to have a pysch eval, yet octo-mom has a medical procedure with no pysch eval. And her procedure effects her and her babies. There is something seriously wrong with that!

I agree that the poster is probably being truthful. Drug Violence In Mexico Threatens U.S. Borders : NPR This is actually spilling over to U.S. border cities as well. If anything, I hope that we can take away the knowledge gained from this post to help us stay alert and safe if we travel abroad. That is the importance of this post

I am not a big fan of more government rules, policies, and laws. Government is already Big, but in this matter, I am all for it. I never want to hear a story like this in the future and if government can create a policy to help diminish the chanes of this occuring again, then bring on the Law and consequences that go with it! These babies deserve so much more!

I actually stated does it matter whether or not the story is true, especially in-light of the fact we know drug war crimes are occurring in the area, which generated the State Department to issue a travel warning in this region. The importance of the story is not the reason for travelling to Mexico, but to be aware of the issues occurring for your own personal safety. There is nothing for the OP to defend. Would it make everyone feel better if she posted her pictures of her bruised and battered face? Would that add more credence to her story? Why should her statement be of any consequence to us other than to be careful when traveling abroad?

Hey, Kat no apolgy needed. Your post was of value to this thread discussion and I for one am glad to read what you have to say. Nothing that you wrote was demeaning to PG and only put into place a great debate about this National Topic. Kat rocks!

What does it really matter if the poster changed her name and never logged back on? We should all take the information shared on LBT with a grain of salt anyway. Take the information for what it is. Who knows if the story is true. Does it really matter? We all should be very aware of the global issues occurring. Whether the OP's particular story is true, we shall never know, but we do know that drug war crimes are escalating in this region, so people considering going over to this area should be aware.

Oh get real! There is no troll here. You have to be living under a rock to not know that there are serious drug war crime issues happening on the U.S. Mexico border, which by the way is spilling over into San Diego County. Crazy as it might sound, but true. Do a Google search. Check out NPR.org. Educate yourself. There is also a travel advisory for this region as well. Whether your going for WLS surgery or just wanting to go on vacation to Mexico, be aware that there is extreme drug war turf fights going on on the Mexico border. I appreciate the poster sharing her story.

OMG, this is so true! Many of us had to complete so many requirements before we qualified for the Band. Yet, octo-mom did what to qualify, just paid cash and the rest is history.

Puts a whole knew twist on the phrase Baby Daddy. Can we actually think of him as Baby Daddy? Afterall, he was there to help plant them so to speak.

Today: A very very slow walk. 4% 1.42 miles 30 minutes. I have not exercised for over three weeks. I still have some crazy healthy issues going on. Lab results are in and I have a meeting this Friday with my OBGYN doctor to discuss the results. My hormones are so out of balance.

Breastfeeding in public:
TQUAD64 replied to Wheetsin's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Yuk! People including babies should not eat in restrooms. That is just not right.
