Hey, I am a smashing pumpkin 08'..I have lost 65 lbs..stopped getting fills for a year thinking I was able to do it on my own..NOT. I restarted fills and have lost 12 lbs in 6 weeks  I have started going to the gym 3/4 days a week now and actually enjoy it! I never thought I would ever say or write THAT.lol I was wondering how many of us were still hanging in there..take care.. (Renita)
  5. Hey Everyone! I haven't posted in awhile and was curious how all of you are doing so far? How is weight loss going? How many fills have y'all had and how many cc's your at now? Hope someone see's this thread:smile2: Renita- banded October 8,2008
  6. Hey October Bandsters! Just wanted to check in. I am glad to see everyone is doing well..I have lost about 43 lbs total..pre and post op. I have had three fills and now have much better restriction now..I think one more may be my "golden ticket".lol It is still hard mentally to re think my eating habits but I am learning..I think that the slow process is actually a learning curve to wrap my brain around the entire lifestyle change. Some days are harder than others but overall I am happy with my band  ~Renita~
  7. Hello Everyone! Just checking in, glad to see everyone is doing good. I had my first fill this morning and it was not painful at all. I was nervous about the needle but I really didn't even feel it. I was able to get 3.5 cc's put in and now an back on liquids for a few days. I have lost 17 lbs since the actual surgery and 16 from pre-op so that puts me at 33 lbs total  Renita
  8. O goodness, I just found all these visitor messages, there's about 1000 here that I never responded to lol.

anyway, there's no before pics of me online as I didnt have any digital ones. I never took specific before pics but all the pics I have of me fat are ordinary old film photos and I have no scanner. I must go over to my mum's sometime and scan some of them in, people ALWAYS ask me this.

I had a BMI of 36 so I was big and yes, I look bloated and awful compared to now, but they're not as spectactularly different as if I'd had a BMI of 50!

  9. Jachut,

I enjoye reading your posts and your avatar looks awesome!! Where can I see your "before" picture...

    Thanks,

    Creative Mushies

When I was on mushies I liked to get the deviled ham in the little cans and mix it with a little mayo and a tiny bit of dill relish..YUMMY! It was only a few ounces but it was so filling to me at that time. I get my first fill November 21st and can't wait. Renita

    Silly question

Sometimes people include their pre-op weightloss on their tickers...keep that in mind :tongue2: renita
  12. You can also find the "off brands" that work just as good and are alot less expensive..our JC Penny's actually has one for 19.00 that is really nice. Renita
  13. Judie, Do you mind if I steal your idea? That is great about getting a to go box to remove food so you don't "over eat"!! I was raised to clean your plate and if the food is there I feel like I need to eat it...from now on I will do what you suggested when out to eat  Renita
  14. Hello! I am from Mississippi also...Gautier. I was banded on October 8th by Dr.Avera in Ocean Springs. I will get my first fill November 21'st and can't wait. I have been doing good only lost 11 lbs since the surgery but as long as it is a loss I am happy  Glad to see another person from here. Take Care, renita

    I Never loose 2lbs a week!!

Keep in mind that on The Biggest Loser they are working out 6 hours a DAY...and they have trainers on them all of the time. I do enjoy the show and try to pretend I am on it at the walking track--ha-- however those reality shows are NOT reality at all and I saw on Oprah the other day when they did a follow up of people that were on the show..some had a hard time when they went home and back into the "real world". So just keep the focus on you and what you are doing and I think you will be fine. I know it is frustrating because I just got banded on the 8th of Oct. and I feel like for all that I have changed in my life and with all of the walking I am doing I should be a stick by now.lol But, I am 37 and I know this weight didn't happen overnight. Good luck to everyone. Renita
