    Over 50 sleevers

You'll do fine! I am 53, and when I had my gastric sleeve in April, my BMI was 42, and 5 months later my BMI is 32. Just follow your doctor's instructions and be patient. We're rooting for you!

    Constipation

I can't tell you helpful this is... I had another really bad episode yesterday. I have every product under the sun to help with constipation but I wasn't sure of how to incorporate these products with the post op process. I've tried to just take a stool softener and exlax and I was doubled over in pain for an entire day... lesson learned. I will try your process starting today. It's hard to explain how bad this can get. I get this topic may not be for everyone but the awful bouts of constipation I've had started making me regret the surgery (never even remotely had this issue before). Everything else is going really well but I just need to solve this issue. Your response is very helpful, thank you!

    Any April Surgery Dates?

Me too. I was losing roughly 1 lb per day (25 lbs since surgery). Now I've been stuck around 251 for almost a week. When does the weight loss start to kick back in again? I've started a boxing workout and other cardio to get me off that weight.

    Constipation

I had a 6-hour incident with constipation. I was in tears (the last time I cried was in 1999 when my Mother died to give you some perspective). It was an awful feeling. We did everything to get things moving. That next day, we essentially bought out everything in Walmart that had anything to do with constipation or stool softener. I do notice every few days when I haven't gone. My main concern with this surgery is that I don't start having long-term pains or issues since I didn't have any before the surgery. I never had this issue at all. Now, I'm worried about this all the time.

April 25th is my RNY date! Buddies?!

I had my surgery on April 25th. How are you holding up? Any issues at this point?

    Any April Surgery Dates?

Struggling... I am just done with the gross shakes. I have had so many in the last few weeks... I think I don't like chocolate anymore (at least the fake chocolate). So every day, from the moment I wake up until I go to bed, it's a hunt for protein. But to be honest, I'm just not hungry, but I know I need to get in protein, and I am failing at that. I had to go back and get fluids twice... Plus, I've had a sinus infection back to back over the last two weeks. If anything could happen, it has. My incisions are healing nicely, and my pouch feels fine... it's all the other stuff

    Any April Surgery Dates?

How did things turn out for you? It was rough the first day or so but got progressively better over the next few days.

    1 year after Sleeve surgery...

This is really helpful (and inspiring). I am 5 days out from my surgery, wondering what the future will look like. Your post helps me to push forward because things will get better. Plus, I should start tracking my measurables as you did. I like the idea of seeing progress across my entire body.

    So over protein shakes

Thanks for the info. We are pouring through their website now to see what I like 👍

    So over protein shakes

Cosign that... big time. I can't wait to drink less and less of these drinks

    Any April Surgery Dates?

I'm experiencing everything you're experiencing. The most difficult thing for me is getting anything in my stomach. Every time sip something, I feel it. Whether it's water or a protein shake, it takes forever to get it all down Getting out the gas is getting better. In a couple of hours I'm walking through a large super Walmart and then I'm taking a lap around a mall.

April 25th is my RNY date! Buddies?!

I had my surgery on April 25 also. How are you holding up? For me, I'm still walking the gas out and I have a little soreness around the incisions. But no real pain.

    Any April Surgery Dates?

Now that we are both two days out, how are you doing? I have some pain off and on. But it is better than I thought it would be. The incision points get a bit itchy. Overall, I am happy with everything.

    Any April Surgery Dates?

I had the exact same surgery two days ago. I was expecting a lot more pain. I do hurt from time to time, but it's been a net positive experience at this point. Hang in there!

    Any April Surgery Dates?

On the drive to surgery now. At this point, I just want to get it done. Dropped 45 pounds as of today... now I'm ready for new milestones in my life... Good luck to everyone! See you on the other side (of the surgery 😀)

April 25th is my RNY date! Buddies?!

April 25th here... still powering through the 2 week preop liquid only diet... Tuesday can't get here fast enough. I made the mistake of eating half of a small salad (it's my birthday for goodness sake)... and I'm paying for it, bigtime. Back to the liquids... lesson learned
