All the talk of support systems is spot on. I hope you all have them. I am in a lot of groups on FB. My husband has been an amazing support, he's been to every appointment with me. I have 2 daughters, 17 and 18, who are great too. My youngest doesn't talk about it much, my 18yo does. She's just worried something will go wrong during surgery. She's a stresshead in general so I just reassure her it will be fine. She's watching what she eats atm too and is losing weight at the same rate as me. She's got a bit to lose and is doing amazing so far. I'm so excited for those of you having surgery NEXT WEEK!

I think it's normal! I made sure to eat most of my faves that last week! That's a great plan. It's crazy how much they can differ. I have also been surprised how well it's going for me. I'm on Day 15 of 28 now. I'm not missing anything, but I am sick of some of the VLCD products we have 3 times a day. I've ordered 3 boxes of my fave soups to get me through. I usually have a bar and 2 soups a day plus my allowed veg. I'm starting to think ahead to the first 2 weeks post op too. I might make my own broth soon and freeze it. Surgery is exactly 2 weeks away for me now. 😊 I'm so excited for us all. 🥰

Thank you for popping in on us! The unknowns can be daunting. Exercise is something I'll really need to commit to. I'm sure it will get easier as the weight drops. Continued good luck to you on your journey!

I'm pretty much the same. I want to succeed so badly. As long as we do all the right things we should all succeed in our goals.

I think liquid only would be hard, but it's only temporary thankfully.

A few of us are on pre op diet now. How's it going? My surgeon has me on it for 28 days, I'm on Day 12 now. It's going fine, I'm not craving anything and my meals are filling. I just miss having variety of food so I'm looking forward to having that back. My plan consists of 3 replacement meals a day, and 2 cups of vegetables wth 2 of my meals. I'm having soups and bars mostly, sometimes a Optifast dessert. I don't do shakes. If you're shakes only stay strong, it's only temporary. We all got this, were all so close now!

Yep, mine is 19 days away, you're even closer. So exciting! Pre op is fun huh? I have to do 28 days so I'm well into it now. I'm finding it not so bad but I'm definitely looking forward to eating a wider variety again after surgery.

I'm on day 3 of 28. I'm finding it ok so far. I'm allowed 3 meal replacements and 2 cups of veg each day. I'm not a shake drinker so so far I've had a Bioslim bar, veg soup and veg, veg soup and veg. I'm vegetarian so the veg is easy, I'll have to get creative to mix it up a bit. I'm getting the Optifast chocolate dessert to try instead of soup at night. Been eating 3 pickles at night at as a snack, getting lite jello today too. I'm weaning myself of Coke No Sugar too. Stay strong, we've got this!

My date is May 10. I'm on Day 2 of my 4 week pre op diet, so far, so good. I started this process back in October and I'm sl glad I'm finally so close. Good luck to us all!
