I thought I was dreaming and I had a very horrible cough and then I woke up and I was doing it in life! And really it was a bad cough it sucked! Ok I'm getting worried I really want to see my dr but he's on vacation and I don't know how long. I guess I've had reflux for 4 days now and my stomach feels like I've been punched also I haven't really had an appetite since Friday night. People said if I have reflux that my band is too tight and I have the kind of band that has the fill in it at time of surgery, people also said that if they have that kind of band they should take the fluid out if they have reflux cause some people can't handle it during their healing time, and I guess I'm one of them, I've had nausea the night I got out of surgery til the Saturday (week after) surgery because I had better nausea pills then I felt fine 2 weeks later and then I'm not feeling well for 4 days feels like i can't go anywhere without feeling sick to my stomach and I know it's gotta be the reflux well I'm kind of worried it slipped and I'm kind of thinking that maybe the band isn't for me? ): sorry for posting stuff that don't go in here

I don't want mac and cheese anymore it sounded good that one day now it doesn't at all I don't really have an appetite and I haven't really had one side Friday night ): and my dr is on vacation and his nurse never called us back hopefully we can get through them today
-
haha it's ok
-
so I feel fine other than feeling like I've been punched in my stomach and the reflux or whatever that is, like I said, hopefully my dr could take the fill out, maybe I'm the kind of person who can't handle the fill and maybe I'll feel better (fill was in since surgery) and maybe that's why I've been nauseated, BINGO! Right?

I know you guys told me I worry too much but that's just me ok ok so I wake up this morn and where my band is it kind of sore, could it be from tossing and turning all night?
-
I made pretend lazagna with ricotta cheese, sauce, and mozz and after awhile I couldn't eat it anymore cause I got sick of it and it gave me a stomach ache ):
-
I have I printed some out, there was a recipie in there for chili and it was for the mushy stage, but I'm gonna see if there are new ones
-
my question is, why would it all of a sudden happen now, at 3 weeks almost 3 1/2 weeks?

So many people have said I have reflux, weird feeling in throat and bad taste and burping oh and weird bubbling feeling. What causes it? Does it go away on it's own or do I need to get something for it from my dr? Do you suggest anything that works that I can ask my dr. I've had this feeling since Saturday and it's annoying! It kinda makes me feel nauseated but not coming from my stomach but my throat! Lol so yeah
-
you can get it at price chopper, I like the blueberry and vanilla yum and yup it has 14g of protein it it mhm and it is more creamy
-
I don't think I want mac and cheese anymore lol meatloaf sounds good but can't have it ugh I've been eating sweet potatoes yogurt tried some steamed colliflour mashed tasted good had mashed potatoes yesturday, I wish I can have something mushy but good cream of wheat hurts my stomach now it never did before, I'm always looking for something mushy and can't find anything, the only fish I like is tuna fish in the cans (I can have fish on mushy week) I can't believe I start solids this Saturday but I'm gonna stick to mushies. I think for breakfast I'm gonna just have yogurt, protein shake, dont know what to have for lunch, have a yogurt or protein shake, then for dinner purée whatever they're having or find something else like idk what ahh

yeah! I read about that!! My band has a fill in it from surgery and I went to him for it once but he didn't want to take it out then so now he'll have to and I've read about people having the same prob and they got the fill out and they felt better. Also read that having the fill in while recovering, some people can't handle of till they are healed
-
I feel the same way! Finaly found someone In the same situation. I have the band where it was filled at time of sugery so maybe all I need is to take that out all I know this really isn't normal tried calling my dr but he's on vacation and his nurse never called back ugh! I only been to the ER once but really wanted to go many times agh!

Okay my first week out of surgery sucked, barely got much fluid down, was only able to drink water, nothing else. I was nauseated my first week, The 4th day out I had to go to the ER, I was fine all day, but at night I got hit bad with nausea and went to the ER, they couldn't get the IV in so I told then I didn't want it cause it hurt too much. Then I went back in the waiting, nauseated like heck. So a few hours later they brought me to a room which I waited a couple hours to get bloodwork and I almost passed out and almost vomitted so they laid me down where my feet were up in the air it helped for awhile and I got up and the feeling came back. They did a fleet and it helped a little bit, when I got home, a few hours later I felt nauseated again, last I can remember it went away a little and came back on the Friday so I called my surgeron and he told me to see him, did a barium swallow and everything was fine and he gave me a better nausea med it made me better for 2 weeks then this Friday night i ate something all of a sudden I felt nauseated I took a pill and it never helped! So I've Been in bed since then, been up here and there but I then have to go back and lay down, it seems to be the only thing that helps. Okay so I'm thinking the nausea feeling isn't in my stomach, it's in my throat, I heard it's reflux, and I have a bad taste in my mouth, had that feeling since Saturday, it got so bad where it just happened, vomitted but nothing came up, and I feel like I got to still this sucks I didn't want to live like this I'm only 3weeks and 3days post op, but still! I wanna be out with my friends and this is preventing me to do so ): I'm losing hope and feeling like I made the biggest mistake ever, you all say it'll get better, what if it doesn't? If I ever get the band removed, would I still feel like this? I just want to be like myself again, this sucks!!
-
and I feel bed bound I've been in bed since Friday night when I all of a sudden got nauseated I've been out but I couldn't be up for a while without feeling sick to my stomach and laying down seems to be the only thing that helps I feel like I got to burp or vomit hmm sometimes I have that thought in my head like what if this band wasn't meant for me? Ya know? I know a lot of you get that feeling. I've read the complications section and some of mine are in there anywho I feel like a new person...the kind of person I don't want to be hmm I gonna read more in that section o.O
-
Oh I think I forgot to say I'm 3 weeks and 3 days post op
-
does the feeling ever go away? I had it since Saturday, I had oatmeal today and it was hard to eat it cause I wanted to vomit, I had a boiled egg without the yoke and I still felt the same, I can't eat anything it seems not without having the feeling I need to vomit ugh >.< I hope it goes away cause I didn't plan on living this way = Thanks though (:
-
yeah it's not on my list so boo I haven't had dinner yet, there's nothing to really have and I don't think I'm hungry anymore, that feeling in my throat is still there and my feeling for vomit are there blahh my dr is on vacation and his nurse never called back >.< so I have to like suffer another night with this stupid feeling in my throat and I heard it's reflux *sigh*
-
oops or is it soft enough to have it the way it is?

crunches
Erin18 replied to MADE IT 2 MY GOAL..OH YEAH's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it might be, I know it is on a regular bed cause fittness lady at the rehabilitation center in the hospital said I could do them on the bed if the floor hurts my back too much but I'm only 3 weeks and 3days post op and she told me way back before pre op I can't do crunches or sit ups til 6 weeks post op but try it (: if it doesn't work try getting a comfy floor mat -
it does, I've been told it millions of times, clear liquid diet did suck I wasn't able to get chicken broth down or any broths I could only get water down and some protein shake but everyone is different, it WILL get better

I feel tired most of the time, I take my vitamins and protein, and I know my prob, I can't get to bed at a normal time and I usually wake up 3-4 hours later and it takes a little while to go back to bed then I get up at 9-10 then I'm up for the rest of the day. Could it be part of the anxiety/stress is there anything I could do to relax me? Wish I could take a bath but I don't know when I could have those, wish my bed was as comfy as it was when I got a new mattress (: I could possibly need fluffier pillows, what makes you relax and sleep through the whole night?
