    Please help, so confused! :-(

Ok I have to cime in on the original post. I am 42 and love my band! I am at 8.5cc's in a 10cc band. On occasion I PB, yes I have slimed once or twice. This has occurrred mostly when I dont respect my band and try to eat to fast or eat more than I should. Again, let me say I love my band. I too have lost slower than I wanted but my doc says slow and steady. I have bben able to kick my high blood pressure to the curb and no longer require meds for it. As for the type 2 diabetes meds, I have decreased dosage at every check up. After all the update I have to say that I love my band HOWEVER, I have made life changes and if you are not ready to put in some work, the band wont work. You have to be committed to making your band be successful FOR you. It is not a miracle for weight loss, it requires work from you. Just my two cents. Good luck

    Lap and Billboards

OMG.............. I am from Florida, learned about Lap Band through my PCM and of course the TV commercial. I was amazed at the amount of billboards around the LA area on a recent trip out West. It is reeally marketed out there!! I dont want to offend anyone from Cali because I really loved it out there but the impression from the billboards I got was NOT "get healthy" but "get skinny"

    Lap and Billboards

I did NOT want to upset anyone from LA or California for thatt matter. I actually loved my time there I was just so surprised by the advertising. I hate that some have cheapened something that has helped me dramatically!!

    Lap and Billboards

I have never hid the fact that I had my surgery but after seeing it maeketed that way it made it feel like the easy way out and we all know it is NOT the easy way. It is still work
  7. I am sure he can fix it!! I hope for you it is soon! Take care and keep us posted.
  8. I had them too but my doc is aggressive and I am now thankful for that! I dont worry about overeating because it takes me forever to eat I just enjoy. It has helped me loose without feeling deprived so I am happy!!! You are doing great so just stick with what is working!!!
  9. Very good way of looking at it!!!:mad2:
  10. I am down to 195. Wahooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  11. How long does it take you to eat?? I have learned with dinner(which is probaly why I am able to get a cup down) but I savor it and it usually takes me about 45 min to eat it. I would probably eat less if I just quit at 30 minutes but I am stil loosing and happy so thats what matters to me:tt2:
  12. Thank you! Yes I am quite full but doing well with it. For Breakfast (late Morning) I may have a bananna. For lunch it is usually a piece or two of lean lunchmeat and cheese and some fruit, dinner is where I get majority of Protein, if I measured my dinner it would be about a cup to 1 1/4 cups and 80% of that would be protein and the rest veggies. I may taste a carb or two here and there but I dont have the room for them. I find myself being very aware of what foods get the limited space:tongue_smilie:

    Doctor Recommeded Against Lap Band

What a can of worms!! In nutshell everyone will have a different opinion. The concern I would have is having a surgeon do a surgery she was against. The original post stated she would do it even though she doesnt reccomend it. I wouldnt have done anything unless my surgeon was behind it 100%
  14. I do log my food intake and I am sure it doesnt help that I take diabetes medicine that clearly states it causes weight gain. It is just frustrating that when you fix one thing another pops up. I cant possibly eat anymore than I already do. Thanks for letting me vent:tt2:
  15. My doc says liquids for 24 hrs then go slowly with whatever I can tolerate. I am responding becaus I too am 6 months out and just got my last fill bringing me to 8.5cc's and I gurgle too. I too thought maybe to tight but I ma managing and have not lost energy so I think I am good. Wish me luck though because I am flying next week and have heard mixed things about how the band will re-act. Take Care:glare:
  16. I understand your frustration and wish you the best of luck!! Good to see you recognize what has beenstopping yourself:smile2: However HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am an active person and my eating habits are fine. I consume about 1000 to 1100 calories a day and I have actually ran on my treadmill which is something I have NEVER done but the stupid scale doesnt move. Any suggestions?
