My son was stationed there on the USS Kennedy before it was decommisioned. I am going to my consult on Sept 29th and I hope to learn then what Tricare will require. Some make it sound like tricare is easy but then others say no.

I take byetta too and the nausea is suppose to be the appetite suppressant. My doc told me the sooner you eat after taking the shot the less nausea but also the less appetite supressant. I can never win!!!

I am just starting, seminar was aug 26th and my consult is Sept 29th. I assume they will submit to my insurance then and I will hope. I have Tricare prime, bmi 37 with diabetes and high blood pressure. Wish me luck!! -

We sound alike......I am 41 and going through the process, I too have diabetes and the thought of it going away made my decision to band very easy, I just hope my insurance thinks so too. What insurance did you have? -
HI KAren, My doc says yes, new study says it can reduce meds needed or completely go away, that is what made me want to get banded.
