Oh this is wonderful!! I know what a big goal this was for you and I can relate to feeling like it was impossible a few years ago and now it is here. I'm so excited for you!! I wish you much luck in getting your BMI into the 20's. I think a lot of people forget how big of a deal it is to feel better in our bodies and be able to move better and be off of medications and such. Not everyone had those issues pre-op, but for those of us that did, it is a very powerful metric of success. ❤️

You know, I never thought of wearing them on a different finger! LOL I love wearing rings on various fingers. They might look cool on my pointer finger... My hands are usually well decorated with metal and stones, though the changing sizes has impacted this! I'm glad you are wearing rings again, they are such a great way to accentuate our individual style!

I am the same with the jeans, feel like I am buying a new pair every fortnight.
I also had to get a new swimsuit within a couple of weeks of starting aqua aerobics as the one I bought a short while ago was holding too much Water.
I also like that I can now sit comfortably on a bus seat and not worry that I am taking up a seat and a half. I am able to get the seat belt on a plane closed without any issues where as a year ago I had to get an extender piece (was mortified).

My band size keeps changing every few weeks! Bras for big boobs are expensive. I'm sure the boobs won't be big for long at this rate but still, it is a funny problem to have. I have no clue why my body has decided that my bra band area is the best place to lose weight post op. 🤣

I'm the poster child for Goodwill ! My sizes are changing so fast, I'm always buying ,wearing and re-donating them. I tell myself I'm just "renting" the clothes...LOL The BEST thing that's happened is I'm off ALL of my meds ,no longer pre-diabetes and my last blood pressure was 110/70 . That's unheard of for me So far, those are the best "problems" I'm having !!!!

Does anyone have porphyria? Specifically , acute intermittent porphyria. My doctor is testing me for this genetic condition. What's interesting is one of the triggers is low calorie high Protein diet. I was reading for people who have it, it can lay dormant until triggered. It seems like , looking back through my life, I had flares. But whatever is going on now, is not fun.

High B and Folate can be a sign of poor methylation. Your GP should check your homocysteine levels. This is especially true if you have the MTHFR gene mutation.

My hands are getting smaller!! Specifically, my fingers. I've had chubby little hands since I was 14 and my autoimmune disease showed up. When I was 200 lbs last time I was still an 8 1/2 on my ring finger in US sizing. Yesterday I finally took off my wedding rings when I noticed that even with the ring snuggies they are spinning around on my finger and threatening to come off. So I decided to measure them. I had gotten up to a US size 9. Now my ring finger measures as a US size 7!!! Never in my life have I ever wore a 7 in rings except maybe when I was 12?? 😂 I cannot get over how differently our bodies lose weight with these surgeries. I have to find a substitute ring to wear now because at this rate I'll be a US size 5 when I'm at goal! LOL I never thought I might have to sell my wedding rings because they can't be resized due to the difference being too much! This is so fascinating...

If there's one of those, sign me up. I am still pi***d at one of mine for the comment, "you took the easy way out." I got off the phone with her quickly this past Saturday before it escalated.
After the fact I realized I should have said, no it was hard. I just made it look easy. LOL

There are two responses that come to mind. First, "So what if I did? You don't get a trophy for making your life even harder than it has to be, darling. Be a martyr in your own life if you'd like, but I have better things to do with my time."
The second is a the classic quote from Saturday Night Live, "Jane, you ignorant sl*t..."

Oh, hon. My grandma was like that, too. It's so hard, especially if you get mixed messages. Mind you, I take after my grandmother 100% physically. She was a bigger woman from her tee years at least, and on a diet of some kind her entire life (died at 92, though, so despite the obesity, she had a good run). But my God, she would be one minute talking about my weight and the next breath offering me food. Her idea of a portion size was a full 1lb link of Polish sausage. She would put out enough food for Snacks to feed a small army. But then, "Oh, you have to watch it or you'll get fat." I swear there needs to be a patron saint for people trying to be polite to their family members under trying circumstances.

Poshmark is a great way to sell your gently used or new items, plus you can use the credit to purchase clothes in your new size for less than retail prices. Or you can always cash out your earnings. Shipping is simple--just print the provided label and drop it in the mail. The hardest part is just taking pictures that display the clothes effectively, but its all done within the app and on your phone, and you can get good ideas from other listings

Since I'm not a skinny chick, rather a skinny...what?... di... no, let's go with guy. Skinny guy. As I was saying, since I'm not a skinny chick I can't really contribute here.
For instance, I'm not going to say that by the time I reached a stable weight I also had way to many clothes with the tags still in tact. It was frightening. I tried to not over buy, but that really wasn't in the cards. Being able to be walk through a store and buy something right there was a new experience. I couldn't help myself.
Another thing I might have added is that knowing that people in need really need plus sized clothing, and men's plus sized dress clothes were really needed. It allowed men straight off the street to go on interviews and such. So, I donated everything to charities that focused on getting people back on their feet. Bags and bags of clothes. In fact, I could rationalize over-buying as a way of helping people in need. My vanity became a virtue!
Well, it's your loss that I won't be contributing here.
    Good luck,
    Tek

Don't worry. From what I've read, in time, after your new tummy heals up you should be able to stretch that new tummy back out and regain all your lost weight. No doctor needed.
But I have a feeling, over time you may change your mind. 🤔

That was me pre-op and at my heaviest weight which was 320. I was on anti-depression meds years ago for a short time but found they made me worse. So don't be quick to get on any unless you find you can't shake the blues. And even then, the right type and dosage is very important.
For me... I was so sick and tired of being sick and tired, it didn't matter how shitty I felt after WLS because I knew better days were ahead. I powered through the nausea. And yes, I had a few down days too. Recouping from major surgery. Hormones shifting. I can't relate to the reflux because I had RNY and hernia repair so that resolved my issues with it.
At 10 months out, I feel like a million bucks. I'm hoping the same for you. Congrats on losing the 35 pounds and GL going forward.
