    Immi Ramen

I didn’t like the texture either. But one interesting thing is that it has no issues being reheated like some other ramen when eaten without the broth (which is how I liked eating instant - boiled, drained and with a bit of flavor packet). I added additional sauce to mask the texture though. Feels grainy, like the texture of grits or sand or something. The store I went to only had two of the three flavors available. I only tried the garlic chicken and I tasted more garlic than chicken. The garlic overpowered everything until I added the sauce that was being used to mask the texture 🤣 Shrimp is tonight so we’ll see how that goes!

    Immi Ramen

I'd been eyeing this product since Facebook and Instagram started sending me ads. It's low carb keto ramen with 6g carbs, 21g protein and 890 mg sodium and 18g fiber. I found they sell them individually at Whole Foods (because I am NOT buying a $35 pack knowing there's a huge risk me and my stomach don't like it for some reason). Planning to run out to buy a pack or two tonight just out of curiosity and eat half a pack or maybe a fourth just for a taste (and also because it's 300 calories for an entire pack) But before I do, I'm wondering if anyone has tried Immi ramen and if so how did you like it? Did it have a weird aftertaste like a lot of protein infused products (it all tastes like whey to me)? Since my surgery I've been really weird about textures now and I've seen a couple reviews complaining about texture of the noodles but I want to try this since it has a nice amount of protein and fiber and I have to do a bit of doctoring to shirataki noodles, moreso than what I feel like being bothered with some days lol

    Snacks!

It seems the Bariatric Pal site has some good snack options. Also been curious about Flock chicken crisps though I'd be concerned about the fat content. Those Adkins candies or Russel stover candies seem like a somewhat decent substitute with extreme moderation if you want something sweet. I'm with everyone else who says talk to your nutritionist to see what they come up with. My nutritionist has been sharing little tricks and tidbits about meals and she probably knows a few good tips about movie snacking too. If all else fails - low fat cheese sticks, nuts, small roll ups of meat and cheese, protein snack packs (I know Kroger has them, not sure of any other place). Oh, how are you about protein water? You can probably use that instead of soda. Or get a bottled water and a sugar free flavor package as a treat.

    When we lose

Sorry about that! They really weren't kidding when they said hormones would be all over the place as the hormones get released from the fat. I was a bit emotional and freaking out just days before my cycle began. Just doing what I've been advising others - to trust the process! I know certain aspects of my body were never balanced but the arms gave me a freak out moment for a sec but all is well! Thanks for the reminders, everybody!

    Stall

Your body is still in its healing process. The 3 week stall is normal and my doctor advised that weight loss isn't going to be a curve but more like stair steps; there will be moments it goes down and then periods of stalls. Much easier expectation set up in my opinion. Stick with your plan and trust the process. The weight is worth the wait!

    When we lose

I think I need to provide more context. I don’t have medical clearance yet to exercise (not until my appointment next week hopefully) so my muscle is the first things being burned from what I was told. And since I use my dominant arm more, shouldn’t I be losing more muscle there first instead of my non-dominant arm? There’s a five inch difference between the arms. I’m already self conscious about my arms as a big woman (SW: 286, CW: 262), I feel like unevenness is going to be a new thing to be self conscious about as my non dominant arm gets smaller while my dominant arm stays the same. Total inches lost in my dominant arm have been 0.25 inches. My non dominant arm lost 5 inches. I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this with their arms before. I don’t have lymphedema so it’s kinda freaking me out. Also my stomach has always gained first and it’s one of the first things going down. All my measurements are going down and decreasing significantly…except that dominant arm. I’ll probably talk to the doc and find a way to delete this thread. It was a stupid question to begin with. Sorry y’all!

    When we lose

I’m just curious to see if I’m going crazy or if this is normal. I’m about 5.5 weeks post op and notice I’m losing inches everywhere except my right arm. It happens to be my dominant arm. Did anyone experience places where inches came off slower in places but eventually catch up? Or am I going to end up with one big arm and one small arm for the remainder of this journey?
