---------- Wow!!! You've hit the nail on the head for me with those above... I went on a interview last month where I had all of the qualifications and some (it was a placed where I've worked in the past and receive awards & accolades for previous work); We interviewed in a small office and not at a table... I was so busy covering up my belly and feeling self-conscience - that I had NO CONFIDENCE. And that's not me. I Want It Back! I want to toss this ugly C-Pap machine I want to walk down the halls of the huge facility where I work and not see myself on the glass panels and be totally embarrassed for myself & DH (who works there as well) And shopping... I'm so tired of going to certain-sections of the store and having to bring things back because yes, they fit my hips & tummy - but at 5' 2" - I just look sloppy in those clothes! I want to see old friends and not be embarrassed as stated above. I've purchased the cutest shoes & they all hurt my fat-feet, so either give them away, or they sit in closet! Don't even go there about photos.... my family knows me as the photo-queen; but, I am careful to leave myself out of as many of the photos as possible.

I've already posted this in the Pre-Op section - but, since we are on this as well, I thought I would ask here! Hello, I started my pre-op yesterday and was told I could have SF Jello. I'm wondering now if this excludes SF Jello pudding? Wait a minute! I'm not reading this correctly - let me post this... tell me if you think I can have jello at all during this week; looks like they only the day before surgery. I drank broth today, ate FF juice bars & broth. Ok, this is how it reads: Water or No-cal, sugar free, Decaffeinated drinks throughout the day Protein Drink for Breakfast & lunch. For dinner, a sensible dinner such as one portion of meat, salad with low-cal dressing and a vegetable. One day before surgery have only Clear liquids for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Clear liquids include; tea, coffee without cream, apple juice, water, broth without noodles, plain jell-o, fruit juice bars (avoid red or purple items).

It is very great to hear from a few of those who were banded this week... take it easy & watch out for those loving cats:ohmy: ... thanks for the tips on protein shots - very good for a budget. Too bad I didn't know earlier this week. I've been drinking EAS Advantage Carb Control - they had good flavors; Surgeons office suggested Optisource, but I couldn't find it anywhere. DH wouldn't give up and stopped by GNC and picked up 5 expensive bottles of Isopure (yuck). They were about $4.69 ea.; 40 Grams of 100% Pure Ion. I had to mix it with 2 sf popsicles in order to get it down. Lesson Learned.

Thank you so much for the info! I called Synchrony & was quoted at $95. and maybe $250 if fluro/xray is required. This is helpful, because I'm now scheduled to be banded in Detroit; Self-pay $10,700 w/Dr. Laker. I'm so excited - I was able to use my CareCredit card with a very low monthly rate. I was previously scheduled for Dr. K on 10/29 - but the financing I was using got a bit complicated, so I cancelled. But his office is extremely nice, helpful and easy to deal with. Good Luck, you will be just fine. I have to do 1 wk pre-op. I'm eating SF Jello; SF popsicles, broth, high protein shake for breakfast & lunch and a sensible dinner - portion of lean meat and veggie or salad. This is my third day, I had a slight headache yesterday and have been hungry for dinner at all. I've been eating a bite or two (very unusual for me). I think I'm just nervous!! Good Luck!

I've only told one person in my office that I'm having surgery; told another one today that I'm considering it. DH works there and I know when I start losing, folks will begin asking him questions. I took 2 weeks off but could take more if necessary... I have a lot of leave to use before losing it by year end.

Yes, I had my pic in as my avator. I remember Nessa. That is so cool that we've come this far & have met up again to get banded! Proves we've tried it all. --------------------- I stopped by the store today to pick up a sports bra (a suggestion by a very nice person here); Liquid Tylenol / Gas Strips (cause I keep reading on here about having these). DH got me a bottle of optisource post-bariatric surgery formula chewable vitamins & mineral supplement??? I'm so excited I can't of anything but life after being banded!

Hello Annecolorgreen, I think I might have been Rickysmom on sbd or I was Infaith8? Something like that... but it was very nice being on there and all of the friendships that were developed!!
