Hi everyone! Im just 5 days from being banded! I cant wait! For those that have already had the surgery, what should I expect when they roll me in? How many people are in the room? I actually have 2 weird questions... Did anyone have a person in the room take pics of the surgery? And also, were you only in a hospital gown, or did you get to leave your undies and bra on? Hi everyone! This is my first time posting on here and I just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Kesha and I live in California. My surgery date is scheduled for Sept 16 and I couldnt be more excited! I go in on Sept 4 for my one on one with the doctor,etc. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me when I meet with him? Any specific questions that I should ask him? Also, I have been reading about the dr's placing lots of you (if not all! =) on a liquid diet some time before your surgerys. Any info on that would be great as well. One more question... can some one please explain to me how fills work? How often, how do you know if you need one, etc? Im about 4 hours from surgeon (this is the hospital that my insurance approved) so I have not even met him yet, so I kind of feel like Im not quite as "knowledgable" about some things as the rest of you. Hi there! I hope that Im replying to your message correctly, this is my first time on this board! I was looking through posts and yours caught my eye because, I, too, am having my surgery at Fountain Valley! My surgery date is Sept 16 with Dr. Ali! I go next Thursday for my pre-op appointments and classes. Im coming from about 4 hours north of the hospital, so they are letting me do all of my classes in one day. Is there anything that I should expect? Ive been reading about these liquid diets prior to surgery, did they speak to you about that? Any kind of heads up that you can give me before I head down there would be wonderful! Good luck with your surgery, I would love to keep in touch with you throughout our journeys, and compare notes since we will be at the same place!! :smile:
