How to talk to your PCP?
*susan* replied to learned2bskinny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Zofran is good stuff, hopefully it will have you feeling better in no time at all. -
Hi Nana, and welcome to the forums. I hope you don't mind that I moved your post. There are a bunch of us here that have revised from the band to the sleeve, myself included. My weight loss has been fabulous, as you can see by my ticker. I wish I had known about the sleeve three years ago, I never would have gotten the band. And not having to worry about fills, being too tight, pb'ing while out with friends, etc. is wonderful. You literally get your life back!

Don't worry, it seems to happen to all of us. My stall lasted a little over three weeks. It is frustrating, but things will start moving again soon enough.

How painful did you find VSG to be?
*susan* replied to kaykay's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh yes, Dr. Aceves sent them to pathology. Fortunately, they were non-cancerous! But, we were pretty worried during the week it took to get the official results back, even though Dr. Aceves said he felt confident I had nothing to worry about. -
Checking in again to see if anyone has heard anything. I wonder if she took a laptop with her? If not, it may be a few days before we hear how she is doing.

VA, you crack me up! Today, I took a piece of Boar's Head roast beef (major yummy) with a piece of provolone cheese wrapped up in it. It was yummy and satisfying.

Penny, I agree with Judy, this is a very emotional time. I think we go through a sense of mourning our old friend, food. But, it sounds like you understand what you need to do and are doing quite well with everything. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hi Linda, just checking in to see how you are doing. You are in all of our thoughts.

Hi Meowmeow, and welcome. Don't worry, we all get a little cranky during the pre and post-op diet phases.

There is a calendar, you can click on it at the top of the page. Every day when I check the forums, the first thing I do is scroll all the way down to the bottom of the main page and it will show anything that anyone has listed on that calendar for the day.

Starting My VSG Journey. Surgery Aug. 11
*susan* replied to Jenn Shelton's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi there, and welcome! How much weight have you lost? Your body may just be adjusting to the sudden changes in diet. Like Down said, usually the pre-op is to shrink your liver, so you should be fine if you are sticking to the prescribed diet. When is your surgery date? -
Helen, I would offer to help, but math is not my best subject either!
