    September Sleevers!

See, I am the opposite. If I take too long to eat, then I end up eating a lot more because some of it has started digesting and I have more room. I am usually done eating in about ten to fifteen minutes.
  2. I actually ended up being off work for almost a month, although I had only planned on taking a week. But, I had some complications related to the sleeve, (I didn't get enough fluids and ended up in the hospital on IV's several times due to dehydration, which was more my fault than anything) and then some bad luck at some other non-sleeve related medical issues that decided to show up at the same time.

What do you take for lunch?

Yum, does sound good. I am getting some pretty good ideas from this thread. I am trying to stay away from the frozen foods because most of them have a ton of carbs and salt in them.

    Love the Sleeve

It is definitely a learning experience. I quit before I actually feel full. I quit eating when I am no longer hungry and that usually works well for me. Unless, I am eating the dreaded pasta, because it never fails to swell up in my tummy and make me miserable.

    What's on your mind?

I had never heard of that site, I will have to take a peak at it too.

    Chat room

Tiffy, I am so excited for you guys! I am just wondering though, do you live close to the base, if not, is there a hotel near by? I am afraid as hot as the two of you are looking, you won't make it home before attacking one another!

    Luv is done luving food!

Hi Luv, and welcome to our forums. You will find a lot of great advice and support here. Many of us have used Dr. Aceves and absolutely love him! Let us know when you get your date.

    home and gassy! STILL

This whole gas subject has me laughing. When I was in Mexico, every time Dr. Aceves or one of his staff came into the room, it seemed like the first thing they asked me was if I had started passing gas yet. It took me until the day I left before I did, and they were so happy about it, I thought they were going to throw a party or something. My husband still laughs about it, as he has never seen anyone so fascinated and interested in my gaseous expulsions.
  9. Janette, I assure you, you will not regret revising from the band to the sleeve. It is the best thing that ever happened to me and I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to revise. The difference is like night and day. I am not dissing the band, for many, many people it works wonderfully. But, there are those of us who have nothing but problems with it and it completely ruins our quality of life as a result. Once you get the sleeve, you will be amazed at just how much the band occupied your thoughts and choices. Best of luck to you.

Yay, congratulations on getting a date! That is wonderful news. Do you have any friends, family, church friends, etc. near you who would be able to help with your children?

    home and gassy! STILL

Hey Ange, thanks for posting and letting us know how you are doing. Bob was just asking about you in another thread. You will continue to feel a bit better each day. Just take things so slow and give yourself the time you need to heal.

    First weigh-in

Bob, you are doing great. That is awesome about being taken off of the hypertension medication. And, things are just going to keep on getting better!

    Surgery tomorrow!!!!

Good luck tomorrow, we will be thinking about you. Let us know how you are doing as soon as you are up to it.
  16. Babygirl, sounds like you are doing great. Don't feel guilty for eating treats, I never do. I got the sleeve so I could live more like a normal person. Normal people eat treats. They just do it in moderation. Most of the time, I make healthy choices. But, if I am out with the family and they order dessert, heck yeah, I am going to have a taste or two. I think when we deprive ourselves of the things we enjoy is when we end up losing control of our eating.
  17. Ash, I promise, it will start moving again! I stalled for several weeks. It can be frustrating, but it will pass.

    How many jars of pickles....

Have you ever had a claussen hearty garlic pickle? Major yummy. Or what about the ones you get from the deli? I think the best one I ever had was when I was about 14 and we visited an Amish town in Indiana. I still remember how good that one was to this day!

    September Sleevers!

Hi Iliana, I wanted to welcome you to our forums! Congratulations on your decision to get the sleeve.
  22. Yep, they always say the second day is the worst, as the first day you are still pretty doped up from the anesthesia. Take care, get plenty of rest and you will be feeling great in no time at all.
  23. Wow, what a lovely surprise to have on your honeymoon!

    What's on your mind?

I am on Prozac, but like MacMadame said, I do find when I am good about getting my exercise in, it definitely heightens my mood. I have more energy, I am happier and just generally at peace with things.
