Well, I will try the 5:2 then and see how it works. And, yes, with the sites all being merged, it is too much for just Alex and myself to do everything. Fortunately, we had a good response to our request for volunteers and have everything covered now.

Hey everyone, I am joining the group. I downloaded the book, read everything and am doing my first fast day today. I think I am going to do 4:3 at first, till I get back fitting into my clothes more comfortably. Hopefully I will see the same success you guys are!

Where Can A Find A Good Food Scale That Is Not Pricey?
*susan* replied to Bronco0605's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have a really nice one that I bought from Walmart for just $14. It measures in ounces and grams and will also save your favorite items. -
I am placing my order for some today too. I have to do something! I hate being so cold.

How Long Have You Been Banded And If No Longer Banded Why Not
*susan* replied to Pablo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Actually, that was easy surgery. In and out of the hospital within a matter of a couple of hours and back to work the next day. So, don't let that scare you. -
Funny thing is... I have them right now. Loud and obnoxious ones too, lol.

Aw, so happy for you, I know what an exciting time this is. Congratulations! -
May just be a sleever thing. It has been almost four years since I got mine, and I hiccup all the time. When I am eating, it is my stop signal.

Gonna Brag For A Sec...

Oh my goodness, brag away girlfriend! You look fabulous, have achieved a major victory and deserve to be proud. Way to go!! -
I am just reading this in shock that you can even drink orange juice. Even as far out as I am, I have major reflux and the acid in orange juice is the equivalent to torture for me.

Oh my gosh, I stay cold! At work, I am always wearing a sweater and have a little heater hidden under my desk. Right now, I have a fire going in the fireplace and am buried under my fuzzy purple blanket. Now, keep in mind, I live in Florida!!

How Long Have You Been Banded And If No Longer Banded Why Not
*susan* replied to Pablo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was banded for four years and then revised to the sleeve. I loved my band the first two years, but then had problems. I had it slip several times, my port flipped twice, I had erosion and even with an empty band, I couldn't keep anything but ice cream down. So, I had to revise to something that worked better with my body. -
Thanks, I have three right now. My first was just for fun, a hummingbird in a flower. My second was for sentimental reasons, I lost a coworker to breast cancer. So, in October of 2011, for breast cancer awareness month, myself and three other coworkers got the breast cancer awareness symbol tattooed on our breasts in her memory. The business that was doing the tattoos donated the money to breast cancer. And, of course, this one is honor of my weight loss. Now, I have the itch again. Maybe a Christmas gift for myself!

I still haven't had the urge to decorate. My daughter will beat me when she comes home from college if I don't, lol.

Okay, so I'm not a biker, but I love my tats! I got this one six months ago to symbolize my weight loss and the birth of a new me. Hope you don't mind my sharing.

Sounds like you are healing well and off to a fabulous start, that is awesome. I remember the breathing too, it seemed the port was sticking me in the lungs at first, lol. But, as you are now seeing, it does get better with time. I wish you much success!

Unfortunately, many of us have found that it is just something we are going to have deal with for the rest of our lives. At over four years out, if I miss just one day of my Prilosec, I am absolutely miserable. I am curious to see if you get any other responses on a better, and definitely less expensive, way to deal with reflux.

When I had my band, I could not eat it raw. But if I saute'd it then I did just fine.

Goodness, if you all keep posting these pictures of beautiful trees, I may actually un-bah humbug myself and put one up too!
