  1. Hi Stuck, I had my revision with Dr. Aceves. He had me have a complete unfill two weeks prior to the surgery. That gave my tummy time to have any swelling from the band go down. He also had me do liquids only for one week prior to the surgery, due to all the problems I had with my band.
  2. Don't worry. Your body goes through a lot of changes when you suddenly change your diet like that. It is kind of in shock right now. Once you have the surgery and things even out a bit, the weight will start dropping off. You will be fine.

    Michigan Sleevers???

I haven't lived in Michigan since I was 14, but was originally from Sparta, MI. Just wanted to drop in and say hello!
  5. I didn't know that about the calcium! I am definitely going by the store on my way home today.

    Brazillian Waxing

Just curious, how many of you have had this done. I am wondering, in comparison to having my eyebrows and upper lip waxed, what is the level of pain?
  9. Just a gentle reminder that people should only post their personal experiences with physicians. Please do not let this thread get out of hand.
  10. Tiff, I am so excited for you! You have made a huge accomplishment and have much to be proud of. Thanks for being such an inspiration to all of us!

    UTI! my worst enemy!

Ugh, sorry to say this, but I have had more UTI's in the past eight months than I care to count. I believe part of the problem is that I am bad about getting enough fluids in. I have just started the cranberry tablets they have available to see if they help in preventing them.

Yay, I know how exciting it is to get everything finalized. It won't be long now, new year and a new you!

    Feeling weak

Judy, I just really, really struggled with drinking enough. It was all I could do to force myself to take just the tiniest of sips. I would be very lightheaded, get overcome with nausea, I had no energy and felt horrible. I just felt so awful, all I did was sit around and not want to eat, move or do anything. My husband finally insisted on taking me to the emergency room. I was immediately put on IV fluids and had my infected incision treated. I also ended up with a major uti and kidney infection as a result of being dehydrated. You would have thought I would have learned my lesson and really pushed the fluids, but I ended up in the hospital two more times after that.
  14. I do not have any experience with surgeons in Vegas, but I wanted to bump this thread for you in the hopes that someone who does will see it and help you out.

    Addicted to the redstuff...

I am a major "red stuff" lover as well. I eat lots of it without any problems at all, thank goodness!

    3 Months out

Wow, you are doing absolutely fabulous! Congratulations on your success!
  18. It is in the exact same forum where it has been all along. Probably just a bunch of other people were responding to posts at the same time, which moved it down. Happens all the time.

    sickly

A lot of sleevers tend to have problems with eggs for some reason. So, I agree, you might want to stay away from them. Are you making sure that you are getting enough fluids in? Nausea was one of my primary symptoms when I was dehydrated.
  20. 198.8 That's right, I am finally in ONEDERLAND!!!!!!!!!! :bananajump::bananajump::bananajump::bananajump: I have not seen this since 1988 and am so excited I could literally cry! I haven't been on much the past couple of weeks because I have been busy with switching jobs and just being plain exhausted. Plus, I admit, I was a bit depressed because the darn scale wasn't moving. But now, I am officially in onederland, I have a great new job, amazing kids and my hubby and I are doing fabulous. Life is so good right now and I am so blessed to have had this wonderful surgery and all of you wonderful people to share it with!!
  21. I am thrilled, thanks so much everyone! I agree with Daisy, and we are saving everyone who hasn't arrived a place in onederland.
