  1. Honestly, I think the first three days are the toughest, once you get past them, the rest is smooth sailing. As others have already said, just remember why you are doing this and what your reward will be and you will be able to do this without any problems!

True? Divorce after WLS within 3 years? Why?

Been a long time since I checked into this thread, and just read it all over again. Wow, has a lot changed since I last posted this. I am now divorced. I just couldn't get past the cheating and lies my ex told me. And, I discovered he had started a relationship online with someone he had dated back in high school. That was pretty much the end. But, I have since found an amazing man and have never been happier in my life than I am with him. I guess things really do work out for the best in the end.

    Starving

The pre-op diet can be such a difficult time, but you have to keep in mind the prize at the end, which is your band. I remember when I did mine I had such headaches and felt miserable, and like you, felt I was starving. I called my doctor and he approved me to have a baked chicken breast that night. I only ate a little of it, but I felt so much better and was able to do well for the remainder of my pre-op. Best suggestion is to check with your doctor or nutritionist and they should be able to offer you some suggestions to make this phase more comfortable. The great thing about message boards is you can take what you find to be helpful and supportive and appreciate those that offered you that advice. And, for the rest, you can ignore them, or better yet, block them so you don't have to see any of their future postings. Have a wonderful Labor Day everyone!

    Ideas about candy?

Weight Watchers has some really good candies out there too. I keep almonds in my desk for when I feel the need to munch.

    Bad Feeling

Nerves and second thoughts before any type of surgery is perfectly normal. You will go through a whole roller coaster of emotions. However, I can assure you that you are in the best possible care with Dr. Aceves!

    New here

Welcome to the site. I am also a lapband to VSG revision, and let me tell you, it was the best move of my life. I wish I had know about it prior to the band, and I definitely would have done it first!

    weight watchers anyone?

Weight Watchers is one of, if not the best, weight loss programs out there, in my opinion. Whenever I was successful with weight loss prior to my surgery, it was with WW. As someone else mentioned, I am not sure you would be able to eat the amount of daily points they require. Perhaps you could speak with the WW leader and ask them if they might be able to alter the points plan to meet your needs.
