    Something "crunchy" To Snack On...

I have tried to eat pork rinds, but no matter what, I just cannot stand the taste of them. I wish I did like them, they seem to have a lot of Protein. Sent from my iPad using VST

    For The Slow Losers

Absolutely! You have no idea how happy it makes me when I go clothes shopping and walk right on by the "plus size" section. That makes it all worth it, lol. The clothes are much cuter now too! Sent from my iPad using VST

    For The Slow Losers

Hey guys, you know what, I am the queen of slow losers and I still wouldn't trade my sleeve for anything. I have had mine for three years now and am not at goal. I was up to 115 pounds lost at one point, which was still 30 pounds from my goal. Due to recent back issue and steroid injections, I gained 30 pounds. But, the good news is this, even at three years out your sleeve will still work for you. I have finally leveled out on all my blood tests and my body is ready to once again let go of the weight. For the past three weeks I have lost two pounds a week and am thrilled with that. I guess my point is, while most people lose the majority of their weight in the first year, I want you to know if you don't, that doesn't mean you have failed. You just don't lose as quickly as some. But we really shouldn't even compare ourselves to others, because everyone is different. Contrary to rumors out there, your sleeve will continue to work for you one, two, three years out and longer. I am proof of that. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Fitbit

I absolutely love my Fitbit, it is so worth the money. I find myself looking at it all the time and it keeps me motivated to move, move, and move some more. I wear mine on my bra, front and center, so no one even knows it is there, which I like. Sent from my iPad using VST

Help For The Dreaded Facial Hair?

Wow, thanks for that analysis. Right now, I wax the upper lip and pluck the strays. As for the chin, it grows so darn fast that I use a razor, although you guys are the only ones who know that, lol. I tried Nair on my legs about a million years ago and it didn't work at all. I have never tried it on my face, maybe it has improved since I tried it, so I think I will give that a try. Sent from my iPad using VST

Help For The Dreaded Facial Hair?

I wonder what the pain level with threading is compared to plucking and waxing. Sent from my iPad using VST

  14. Okay everyone, lets calm down. Please remember, this is a support forum. We are all here to help and support each other. Remember our rules, personal attacks are not permitted. Tiffany, it looks like you are simply trying to gain information that would help others who are suffering from obesity obtain the surgery and help they need. Has anyone tried contacting the doctor themselves?

Help For The Dreaded Facial Hair?

I tried the Vaniqua, and didn't see much of a difference. It is definitely expensive. But, that was about four years ago that I tried it. Has anyone had success with it recently? Sent from my iPad using VST

    Pickles <3

I would definitely stay away from pickles in your current phase. Later on, they are okay. They are a tasty, low calorie snack, but the salt content is quite high, especially in the claussen hearty garlic ones, which are my favorites! Sent from my iPad using VST

    Why Gain It Back?

I am a "everything in moderation" kind of girl. I have not lost as quickly as others and I am okay with that. In fact, between being pre-menopausal, having a very painful back problem, steroid injections, etc., I gained 30 pounds between August of last year and May of this year. It happens, I had medical issues, and like my doc said, based on my blood levels, I should just count my blessings that I only gained 30 pounds and not 100! Now, everything seems to have finally leveled out and I am able to start moving again and the scale is finally dropping 1-2 pounds a week again. When I had this surgery, it was not with the mindset of being on a "diet" for the rest of my life. I wanted to be able to eat like a normal person. Guess what, normal people do eat popcorn, hamburgers, chips, etc., they were just better able to stop themselves at a reasonable amount than I was. I try to eat mostly healthy, but I have no guilt whatsoever when I have popcorn, a bacon cheeseburger, fries, or a drink. That is because I am now able to have a few bites, with the help of my sleeve, feel satisfied and then push the plate away like "normal" people do. I record every bit of food that goes in my mouth, I monitor fat, carbs, Protein, sugar and salt and they are all within normal, recommended levels. I never feel deprived and I am a very happy person. Menstrual Cycle

I actually went two months without having one after my surgery. Then, things returned to normal. Our bodies all react differently to the changes going on as a result of the surgery. Sent from my iPad using VST
