    Beer - Ouch

Glad I could help. I didn't get the sleeve to restrict myself from things I enjoy, I got it to help me enjoy them, just in moderation. I don't buy into the "stay away from carbonation because it will stretch your stomach" philosophy. At three years out, mine hasn't stretched. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Sex... Oh My God... Sex!

It is truly amazing how things change. A lot of it is indeed, we do have more energy and stamina with all that excess weight gone. I also think a huge part of it is also that we have a lot more confidence in ourselves as we lose the weight, and that makes things so much more exciting in the bedroom. Sent from my iPad using VST
  5. Gustavo, I never had dreams quite as vivid as that, lol. Just wondering how our OP is doing and if you have been released yet? Sent from my iPad using VST

    Wow, Was That Really Me?

I get what you are saying, I think. I know there are people who wouldn't give me the time of day when I was 283 pounds, 100 pounds less and suddenly they were my best buddies, NOT! On the inside, I am still the same person, just with a different packaging now. If I wasn't good enough for you then, I sure don't want you in my life now. It is rare for me to find old pictures of myself, I was always so embarrassed of my weight, I avoided the camera at all costs. I still do, because in my mind, I still think I am going to look like that person I was three years ago. Sent from my iPad using VST
  8. Thanks, I am still not fond of just plain Water. I always add half a packet of crystal light to mine, that makes it more tolerable for me. Sent from my iPad using VST

    Morning Wood

Oh goodness, I love the man room! There are so, so many things I want to say, being a, uh, very passionate woman myself. But, alas, I feel as an admin, I must maintain a certain sense of decorum or you guys may lose all respect for me, LOL. *sigh*
  13. Oh goodness, I understand how disappointed you must be. But, like the others have said, I agree it is better to postpone it and find out what is going on first than to have problems during or after surgery. Please keep us posted on how things are going.
  14. If you are still able to eat and drink without any problems or discomfort, you should be fine. If you are not, then there is the chance that it may have blocked the opening to your small intestine. If you are having any difficulties at all, the best suggestion is to contact your doctor.

    Beer - Ouch

I am three years out, I couldn't drink anything with carbonation until about a year ago. I do enjoy the occasional beer, but prefer my wine or white russians. However, I can't drink a beer unless it has been at least a couple of hours since I have ate, or I become extremely uncomfortable. Everything in moderation...
  16. I was okay during my hospital stay, but once I got home, I don't know exactly what happened. I knew I needed to drink, but I just couldn't do it. As a result, in my first month I ended up in the hospital three times on IV fluids due to severe dehydration. I also got several serious kidney and bladder infections as well. I know it is tough, but just try to constantly sip, sip, sip. I don't want to see anyone go through what I did, you will feel lousy and it will really slow your recovery. I know it probably doesn't make you happy, but I am glad your doctor is keeping you until he/she is confident that you are going to get in the fluids you need. Take care and please keep us posted on how you are doing.
  17. Hmmm, that is odd, I just did a test post from my Android app and had no problems. I am going to send Ken an email and ask him to respond to this, hopefully he can help you out.

    35Lbs In 6 Weeks

You are doing fabulous! Remember, never compare yourself to others, some may lose faster, some may lose slower. For instance, I am the world's slowest loser, but I am okay with that, so long as I don't gain. Our bodies are all different, and how fast or slow we lose weight depends on a great many factors. Look at it this way, if you hadn't had the surgery, how much weight would you have lost? Like I said, you are doing absolutely fabulous, congratulations.

This May Be Inappropriate, Forgive Me :)

Seriously, you guys are killing me. Or, it could be the wine, I don't know, but every time I read this thread, I end up literally laughing out loud.

Help For The Dreaded Facial Hair?

Okay, sorry to sound naive, but what is an epilator? Also, does anyone else have this crazy fear of something awful happening to where you end up in the hospital and wake up with a full mustache and beard? LOL, I know that sounds crazy, but I have actually had nightmares about this.

    Water Wait Gain

Excellent point and something for everyone to remember. Thank you.
  23. I was in a hospital gown the whole stay as well. I did take my robe to wear while I was walking in the halls. Just make sure whatever you take is loose so it doesn't bother your incisions. I wore sweat pants home, they were nice and comfy.
