Oh my goodness, this brought to tears to my eyes, what a wonderful moment for you!

For me, it is easy not to drink and eat. because if I drink anything while eating, I become really, really uncomfortable. Generally, I cannot drink anything until at least an hour after I have ate.

Theosmom, basically, the plication is a version of the sleeve where the sleeve is created by suturing instead of removing stomach tissue and therefore it preserves it's natural absorption capabilities. It is considered less invasive then the gastric sleeve and you would have a shorter hospital stay. Usually when you are having blood work done, you have to fill out a questionnaire listing all medications you are on. I don't see why there would be a problem as long as you disclose everything on it, but I am not a nurse or doctor. Just my opinion. Sent from my iPad using VST

Like the others have said, it is a totally different feeling than with the band. You just feel uncomfortable if you eat too much, like a normal person. My only weird thing is, my body lets me know when I have had enough to eat my expelling a few loud and obnoxious hiccoughs, always pleasant to hear when dining out, lol. Sent from my iPad using VST
