    My late night adventure....

Dody, I feel guilty because I am laughing while reading your story and feeling bad for you all at the same time. At least some good came out of it, you got some exercise, your dog has hopefully learned a lesson about late night potty breaks and your neighbor got flashed and something to tell the wife about, lol. Seriously though, I do hope your feet get to feeling better.

    hi from NY

Hi and welcome. Wow, I can't believe you went a whole year before getting your first fill. I was beating down my doctor's door to get mine at four weeks, lol. I am glad you have started losing again. Good luck and come visit us here often.

    Newbie from Michigan

Hi Mia and welcome to LBT! Whereabouts in Michigan, if you don't mind my asking? I have lived in Florida since I was 15, but grew up in Sparta and still have a lot of relatives in Grand Rapids area.

    trishs update on surgery

Poor thing, it looks like she has been through a lot. I hope she gets to feeling better quickly.
  9. Sounds like a plan to me.
  10. Definitely follow whatever your doctors instructions are, they are all different and your doctor knows what is best for you. With that said, my doctor had my on mushies on day 10 and solids about 5 days later.

    Scar Stages Share yours!

Hey TheQueen, I had glue too. Actually, I loved it. It was so much better than having to have stitches taken out. I am surprised you still have the glue after two weeks. Mine was gone by the end of the first week.

    Lindey

Hi Lindey! I am so glad you found us. You will really find a tremendous amount of support here. I know most of us have wonderfully supportive families and such, but it is just not the same as being able to talk to other people who have the band and truly understand every emotion and physical feeling you are experiencing.
  14. Hi Michelle and congratulations on getting your date. It must be exciting after waiting three years. What are you reading about that you find scary? Please don't be afraid to ask us questions. We are all here to support one another and help alleviate any fears you may have. Remember, when people are doing really well with their bands (which is the majority) and having no problems, they tend to not be on the board posting as much. But the band is really wonderful and most do not experience very many complications, especially if you remember to eat slow, chew well and be careful about your food choices.

What do you do for pain?

The tylenol works fine for me. In fact, I have been using the adult liquid tylenol and found it actually works faster than the pill form. My hubby didn't believe me until he tried it one day and was very surprised at how quick it worked.

Should I go on the liquid diet now?

I agree with PhotoNut. I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to be on a liquid diet for months at a time. It is hard. When I was on mine prior to surgery for 2 1/2 weeks, even though I was doing high protein drinks prescribed by my doctor, I just never felt quite right on liquids only. I had lots of lightheadedness and general weakness. Like Susan said, instead concentrate on cooking healthier meals for you and your husband. I didn't ask my husband about it, I just started doing it. And, he has not once complained and just eats whatever I put on the table in front of him. I think you will be happier and healthier doing this, while experiencing weight loss at the same time.

    HEY FROM Kraggie Hope TN

I thought she said the other day was her final post and she was leaving and not coming back? :faint: Wow, now I know why I am careful to never miss a day of my prozac.
  18. How are we going to post our exercise? Is someone going to keep track of it or what? Just wondering.

    SCALES friend or foe?

My scale is definitely my friend! However, prior to the band, it was one of my worst enemies. But since getting my band, I look forward to Sunday mornings (the only day of the week I allow myself to step on the scale) and seeing that elecronic number getting smaller and smaller.

    Joy, that is wonderful! Congratulations.

    Signing Off

I'm sorry, the whole thing about "in the wisdom of" cracked me up. I agree with the "Can't we just get along" statement, but as far as Rodney King being wise, HA HA. In fact, it is funny that he made that statement when he seems to have a habit of not getting along with woman and beating them up. I am sorry, but it just kills me whenever I see someone quote him like that saying he is wise or whatever. http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/lapd/kingarrests.html

Cheating - more on the subject

When I first saw the name of the site, I thought it was going to be all about teaching people how to cheat and get away with it. That really ticked me off. But, the board said it is for cheaters and those who have been cheated on. Interesting site, I guess. Not many posters there yet, but will be interesting to see the excuses the cheaters give. Yes, I was cheated on by my ex-husband and have no respect for cheaters, I admit it.

    hello,new member, waiting for date

Hi and welcome to LBT! I think you will like it here. I visit OH once in a while, but find LBT much easier to navigate and like the fact that it is devoted strictly to the band.
