  1. Nobody said anything about starvation mode. What I discussed was what is necessary to maintain a healthy metabolism.
  2. More power to you, but personally, I would not ever recommend this to anyone, nor would my fiance, a nutritionist. Eating like that is not healthy nor is it good for your metabolism. Your body needs a certain amount of calories each and EVERY day just to function, and what they are prescribing is not healthy. Definitely looks like another fad diet to me. I am with AussieLady on this one.
  3. To those offput by this post, please allow me to offer my apologies. We are working very hard to stop the negativity and make VST a friendly, supportive community. I feel things have gotten better recently, and we are continuing to work at eliminating the "nastiness and venom" as some of you have put it. However, we can only do this with your help. VST is a large community, and Alex and I manage it basically with just the two of us. Therefore, please report posts that you feel are inappropriate or a violation of forum rules, and we will respond. Thank you.
  4. As many of you know, I was sleeved a few years ago. I did awesome, and had actually gotten to within 20 pounds of goal at one point. Then, last year was nothing but emotional turmoil for me and I returned to a lot of old, bad habits. Believe me, even with the sleeve, if you eat junk, you will gain weight. I have gained over 20 pounds and if I don't do something, I am afraid of becoming a complete failure and gaining it all back. I know there are tons of websites for helping people lose weight. Some free, some not. What ones have you tried and what has worked for you? I joined MyFitnessPal last week, but it hasn't given me the motivation I hoped it would. I have always had great success with Weight Watchers Online, and am thinking of joining again. The thing is, with so many free options out there, I hate to spend the money on WW, you know what I mean? And yet, I wonder if spending the money is part of the reason it has worked for me in the past, because I felt if I spent the money, I darn well better work the plan, lol. Or is it because I understand how it works, and find it so easy to follow? Or, maybe I just didn't give MFP enough of a chance, I just don't know. The only thing I do know is I need to do something, and do it fast! So, what have you tried, what has worked for you and what do you suggest?

    EXCESSIVE NAUSEA?

I experienced horrible nausea as well. I did terrible with getting fluids in for the first four weeks following my sleeve, which resulted in my being severely dehydrated and in the hospital on IV fluids several times. After about my fifth trip to the hospital and the realization that as soon as I got the IV fluids going in me the nausea disappeared the lightbulb finally went off and I just forced myself to sip, sip, sip all day long. No matter how tough it seems, getting your fluids in is absolutely vital! Sent from my iPad using VST

Enough! What is wrong with you people? This is the second absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for thread I am having to close tonight. Take a break, enjoy your long weekend and get back to supporting one another. I have already banned one person tonight, I have no limitations on how many more I can do! THREAD CLOSED!!

    Where is the ecuadorian faker?!

Your wish is my command, you will no longer have anything to do with the members of this site. Marielove, this is a very inappropriate thread to have started, we do not start threads to complain about, humiliate or call out other members, regardless of what they may or may not have done. To all of you who took part in this, really? I am closing this thread so we may get back to the purpose of these forums, discussing the sleeve and offering one another support.
