Hi and welcome to LBT! It is wonderful that you are going to have a buddy to go through the process with. We are glad to have you here and look forward to hearing how your journey progresses. Just as a suggestion, you might want to turn off the caps lock in future posts. Online, typing in all caps is considered yelling.

Hi, I wanted to welcome you to LBT. I was self-pay, so I am not able to answer this question for you. Hopefully, by bumping it up, someone else will see this and be able to.

I know that I am a slow learner but....

Way to go!!! -
Here's hoping all goes well for you, I am sure it will! As soon as you are feeling up to it, let us know how you are feeling.

Hi there and welcome! Congrats on your decision to get the band. Let us know how you are doing and if you have any questions. We are so glad you decided to join us here.

I think Kristy is going home tonight. But, then again, I have never been particularly impressed with her. I like David A. ok, in that I agree he is very talented. But in terms of being a performer/entertainer, I think he still has some maturing to do. Based on that, I would prefer to see one of the older talents win. I think Brooke is my favorite.

Awww, I love this thread. Everyone has such cute pets. We have two, Max is our chocolate lab and he is mine and my hubby's baby: Then we have a long-haired doxy named Winston, he is our kid's baby:

Huh? Not sure you read the actual thread. At any rate, I didn't have any problems at Six Flags in Georgia when I was 283.

Band Adjustments, who/what/where/when/how/why
*susan* replied to VegasGrace's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
There is already quite a bit of information in the two stickies at the top of this forum. Other questions regarding the band and fills can be found in the FAQ (frequently asked questions) forum here: Lap-Band Surgery FAQs and References - Lap Band Talk Forum - The largest forum for Lap Band Surgery Discussion and Lap Band Surgery Support -
I am afraid I do not see what you are talking about. There is nothing like that happening on my computer.

I won't let your secret out! Let us know when you get your date.

Hi Tasha, I am from Jacksonville. As you can see in my signature, I used Dr. Herrera and was very pleased with him. PM me if you would like more information, and welcome to LBT.

The discomfort you are having is probably from the port. That is where most people tend to have pain and discomfort the most after surgery. I am sure it is different for everyone, but mine lasted about two weeks.
-
I just have to say that I am thouroughly grossed out by this whole discussion!
-
KatieBell, we are keeping our fingers and toes crossed for you that everything goes through, and quickly!!!
-
Great news! Let us know how everything is going.

Wow, I find this to be very interesting. Where did you learn this from? What about the spray, "I can't believe it's not butter", because I have been using that?
-
Hi Kim, sorry, I have not personally had any experience with this. I thought I would bump the thread for you to see if anyone else has though.
-
Congratulations, you are doing fabulous! It definitely sounds like you are at your sweet spot. If you don't feel you need a fill right now, no reason to push it and risk being overfilled.
-
Good luck tomorrow! As soon as you are feeling up to it, let us know how everything went and how you are doing.
-
Hi and welcome! So glad that you found us. I am from Jacksonville, where in Florida are you?
-
If you are having a hard time keeping things down, you might be too tight or have a small slip, which a complete unfill will usually correct. Have you had your doctor do a fill under flouroscopy to make sure everything is ok with your band?

Hello Everybody, I'm a newbie
*susan* replied to tym2findme's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Goodness, you certainly have gone through a lot. I wish you success with the band and good health. Our thoughts and best wishes are with you. -
Hi and welcome to LBT! Definitely don't let anyone push you into having the surgery until you are comfortable with the idea of having it and confident in the surgeon you have picked. I would suggest posting on the "physicians and hospitals" thread, and possibly the local Georgia thread as well. You might have better luck getting some responses there.

Hi Peej and welcome. I think it is perfectly normal to have pre-surgery nerves. I knew the lapband was for me and was incredibly excited to get it. But just the thought of any type of surgery makes me nervous. But, it is so worth it in the end. We look forward to getting to know you.
