Kat, that is awful about your debit card. I hope it is a Visa backed one that covers the charges due to identity theft. It is going to be about 90 here today. But, we are expecting a cool down in the next couple of days, only 79 to 80. And yes, at about 70 I start getting cold.

Jill, I agree with Marie, this particular food item is most likely just going to be a problem food for you that you may need to avoid. For instance, it doesn't matter how tight or loose my band is, I cannot eat any types of bread or corn. If you are finding that you are able to eat larger quantities of food than previously and you are getting hungry between meals, then it probably is time for a fill.

First off, I am so, so incredibly sorry to hear what you are going through. My ex-husband cheated on me with my best friend (hence the "ex" part). It is a very tough thing to go through, but you will come out a stronger person because of it. As for the surgery, I would still go through with it. The main problem I have with my band and stress is it gets tighter. When you first get your band, it will be unfilled. You can go slow with the fills and have it unfilled if you need to. But, don't let this incident prevent you from getting the band, improving your health and your life.

Honestly, I don't know the answer to this. I know doctors will perform surgery on self-pay patients, but payment is required up front. They might require that you pay up front, then if the insurance does cover, you will get reimbursed.

Hi and welcome. It sounds like everything is falling in place quickly for you. I was self-pay and was amazed at how quickly everything went. Keep us posted on how things go.
