I was released to any kind of exercise, etc. at six weeks out and had no problems. You should most definitely be well healed and ready to enjoy yourself at seven weeks. As long as you are feeling good, you should be fine. Sent from my iPad using VST

Surgeon YES! Coordinator NO!
*susan* replied to 2btrim's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Absolutely, one can contact the doctor directly. Sometimes, by using a coordinator you may receive additional follow up care or a discount, but at doesn't mean you cannot book directly with the doctor themselves. Sent from my iPad using VST -
My Sleeve Experiences with Dr. Aceves
*susan* replied to serenity1959's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I traveled from Jacksonville to there and back and did great. Coming home, the airlines out of San Diego are actually very used to having Medical Tourism patients fly with them. If you tell them you just had surgery, they are very good about looking after you, making sure you get plenty of Water, etc. In fact, Dr. Aceves sent some broth with me for the trip home, and the steward had no problem with heating it up for me. My Sleeve Experiences with Dr. Aceves
*susan* replied to serenity1959's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Serenity1959, yep, we know exactly who you are talking about. It is sad, because she used to be his greatest supporter. She is now very anti Dr. Aceves, and feels the same about VST as well. She seems to have a lot of anger, and none of us truly understand it. -
Yep, this is a known problem. We will be coming out with a revamped board and new mobile apps soon. Sent from my iPad using VST

My Sleeve Experiences with Dr. Aceves
*susan* replied to serenity1959's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
He is definitely amazing. I credit him with saving my life. When he did my sleeve, he found three tumors on my liver and removed them. Who knows how long before they would have been detected if it weren't for him. Sent from my iPad using VST -

Very soon now, our boards will be completely revamped and all of these problems should be eliminated. We are in the final stages now, and are testing as well. Sent from my iPad using VST -
I really haven't found anything I can't eat either. Every once in a while milk bothers me but that is really quite seldom as well. Sent from my iPad using VST

Got home yesterday. Diarrhea and difficulty getting in fluids today
*susan* replied to Kennedy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You definitely need to push yourself with the Water. Constantly keep it with you and every few minutes take several small sips. It is difficult, but I promise it will get easier as time goes on. It is vital you keep yourself well hydrated. The Protein will come, worry about it more in the next two stages of your post op diet. Right now, just keep sipping as much as possible. If you had heartburn with your band, do you have it with your sleeve?
*susan* replied to ribearty's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I actually never had a problem with it when I had my band. However, once I got my sleeve it was a whole different story. Over four years out and I still have to take a Prilosec every day, otherwise it is unbearable. But that's okay with me, it was a small price to pay and the Prilosec does a great job of controlling it. Sent from my iPad using VST -

Oh goodness girl, I hope you feel better quickly! I spent the morning at the ER with an infected and bleeding hemorrhoid, unfortunately it did not cause the scale to move, lol Sent from my iPad using VST -
