Good afternoon everyone! Posting just to say I lost 3 pounds last week!!! Yay me!
-
No commando for me, I would be afraid of chaffing the delicate areas.
-
It is way too quiet here. I am off to bed. Have a peaceful night everyone.
-
Sure, got video? I could use a little excitement. Seriously though, sorry they are obviously bugging you.
-
Posting to say . There is nothing going on at home, nothing going on here and nothing going on on facebook. Sigh....
-
Probably, but to just be able to go into that store and not feel completely out of place and then walk out with one of those tiny bags with something that fits in it will be wonderful. And, once I look as hot as you do, I am going to do it!
-
Oh, and I can't wait to be small enough to buy all of my lingerie at Victoria's Secret!!
-
LJM, I am so jealous. I used to love going there with my kids. But now, they are of the age that Chuck E Cheese is no longer the cool place to go to. So, without them, I don't have an excuse to go anymore.

Hi there, Jody. Welcome to LBT! Is your husband going to join as well? I think it is wonderful that you two are going to go through the process together. You will be a great support to one another. We look forward to getting to know you better.

Hello All...especially those from DFW

to LBT! We are glad you joined. I was also private pay due to my insurance not covering the band. They would not cover any of my pre-op testing, nor do they cover my fills now. However, your insurance may be different. Never hurts to ask. Being private pay and not having to jump through the insurance hoops, you can get scheduled pretty quickly. The biggest obstacle you may have with trying to get your surgery done over Christmas break is that most docs require a one to two week pre-op diet. So, between that and the required pre-op tests, I think it might be too late for that. The time from my first appointment with my doctor to my surgery was 17 days. Let us know how it goes and when you do get scheduled. -
Time to turn around

Welcome to LBT and congrats on the decision to get banded. This site is great for information, advice and support. Feel free to private message me if you have any questions on how to navigate the site. -
BBK, I am so sorry. But, if you are unhappy, even if you think you are covering it up, others that are close to you probably had already picked up on it. Your children could probably even sense it. I am sure, even though it may be rough on you and those involved right now, in time you will look back and realize it was the best for all involved and how much happier and better off everyone is now. I remember when first husband and I separated. I was terrified that the kids would be miserable. Now that they are older, they tell me they knew there was something wrong when we were together and there was always tension in the air. They said while it was upsetting, it was actually a relief because from then on, we were all so much happier and the stress was gone. Beth, sorry about the promotion. I am sure that must be so disappointing. Hugs to both Beth and BBK!

Hey, any of my fellow phone technogeeks use loopt?

I am posting just to say:
-
No, I haven't. I sense a trip to Barnes and Noble in my future.
-
Now you're getting your priorities straight!!
-
Well, I sure have gained a lot of "education" from some of the romance novels I have read.
-
Come on, Plain, if you guys are gonna fight, you can do better than that! Things have been entirely too quiet around here since the elections ended and the religious lady left. We need a little excitement, hee hee.
-
Ohhhh, I love reading as well. Nothing educational or worthwhile though. I like trash and mystery. I like Danielle Steel, Sandra Brown, Steven King.
-
Hi DJ, welcome to LBT. I am not familiar with Bajanor, did you try posting in the doctors and hospitals section?
-
Cheryl, congratulations, you are doing wonderful. Of course it is still possible for you to reach goal. Remember, you had the band, not bypass. The band is designed for us to lose at a safe, healty rate of 1-2 pounds per week.
-
Uh-oh, moderator fight!!!
-
That definitely does not sound very appetizing to me at all.

Excited/nervous surgery 12/15
*susan* replied to mroseharvey's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi there and welcome. Insurance companies seem to look for anyway possible to deny people. Back when I had my band, they didn't even cover it at all. So, like you, my wonderful hubby wanted to see me healthy and knew how unhappy I was. So, we refinanced our house to cover the cost of the surgery and have never regretted it. I am so pleased you were able to work out a payment plan. Let us know how everything goes on Monday. -
That is a good one. I use www.thedailyplate.com . It is also free and I love it.
