Oh wow, Kat... did you guys ever confess to your mom about the balloon?
-
Ok, LJM, the little vomiting guy has me worried! Now that I have accomplished virtually nothing this weekend I am off to bed. I am going to need my rest to get everything done by Thursday.

I was actually thinking about buying a Wii as a family gift for Christmas. Now, I think I am definitely going to do it. The Wii fit sounds interesting. Besides the step class, what else does it have on it?

Someone just put all that on your desk? Oh my, I was thinking you might be a school nurse or something!

I have it but I don't think I can remember using it. When we go to eat, sometimes I will mention to the waitress that I had surgery and can only eat a small amount of food, and therefore would like to share a plate with my daughter. I have never been told no. And, one plate of food between my daughter and I is usually more than enough for both of us.

What was the first thing you ate?
*susan* replied to thinkingslim70's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My first meal was scrambled eggs with cheese. Even though it has been a long time ago, I still remember how wonderful it tasted. It was a very, very special moment for me, lol. -
I have been using it for a couple of years. It is much, much better than Internet Explorer. That's right.... hee hee hee!! He never posts on the weekends. Yes, where is our newest PJTP token male??

For those of you that use Firefox, you have to download the add-on Smiley xtra 4, they have some really great ones.

Hi Marcia, and welcome to LBT. 30 pounds down is amazing. As for the holidays, I wouldn't beat yourself up over it. Everyone enjoys the holidays and eats things we might not normally eat. As for me, I got the band to live like a normal person, and normal people do eat and enjoy the foods offered during the holiday season. With our bands, we are able to do so, but without going on an absolute binge. And, the great thing with the band is, as soon as the holidays are over, it is right there waiting for us to help us get back on track again.

Hi Andy, and welcome. I was self-pay as well, and did not have a PCP. So, hopefully you should be fine as well. Check out our doctors and hospital forums, as well as the local Texas forums. I am sure you will find people there that have experience with the surgical group you are planning on using. Best of luck to you.

Teresa, congratulations on winning your appeal, that is awesome news. I really wish the band had been available when I was your age. You are going to feel so much better about yourself.

new here! Im having a band after bypass
*susan* replied to barbs76's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Barbs and I am sure there are probably people here that have had the band after bypass, but I can't think of any off the top of my head. I am glad the insurance company approved your surgery. Let us know if you have any questions. -
Hi Strictly, welcome to LBT. Glad you have been in chat, but glad to see you start posting in the forums as well.

Here ya go!

Ok everyone, after some brief discussion amongst the moderators, it was agreed that this thread has not been a rant thread for a very, very long time. It is more a gathering place for longtime and new members of LBT to chat, joke, and just share life experiences with one another. Based upon that, I have officially moved this thread to the lounge. We love everyone here and in this thread. So, lets continue to keep it a lite and enjoyable thread for all of us and remain friends in here. If we want to debate politics or other issues, then start a new thread in RNR. This is our official "escape" the realities of life thread. Or, at least, it is for me. Thanks everyone.

Actually, I didn't start drinking until afterwards! Because they want to screw up everything for you and keep you there as long as possible.

Tap, I hope your mom arrives ok, let us know! CC, wow, that sounds like an amazing quilt you are making! I am sure your friend will love it! I wish I had some sort of talent like that. Lulu, I wish I could stay in my pj's today. But, alas, I did not finish my shopping yesterday because I am the world's biggest klutz, so I have to finish today.

P.J., sorry about the pink eye. I got that once years ago when my kids were young and in daycare, it can be quite miserable. I also use the Daily Plate. I think it is the best one out there as well. I like that I can also access it via mobile phone as well, so wherever I am, it is available to me.
-
Oh good grief, would you two quit fussing at each other. I am the one who should be fussy. I finally started my Christmas shopping today. I tripped in the store and have a huge gash on my lower leg and another on my foot. Both are all swollen and black and blue and hurt like a ^%%$$**! So, here is my confession, to make it feel better, I am sitting here drinking white russians. It is my bosses fault, he bought me a huge bottle of kahlua for Christmas.

You do realize if Plain shows the goods, they will most likely be covered in Cheeto's crumbs?
