Good luck to all of you. It will be exciting to follow your progress.

Sounds like you are recovering nicely. I slept In a recliner for the first week too. After I moved to the bed, I kept a pillow under my tummy to help support it, it really made a big difference in my being able to sleep comfortably. You might want to try that.

For the first two years, I had little to no tolerance for any milk products. Then, slowly, I was able to start introducing them into my diet again. I still can't drink it or eat dairy products to the extent I did pre-sleeve, but now I am at least able to have a glass of milk with my breakfast and a small yogurt for a morning snack.

What a lovely NSV for a lovely woman!

Interesting and fun topic, hopefully when I get home tonight I will have more time to read through it all. I work as a coordinator for a major non-profit agency. I am also a health advisor for MySurgeryOptions.com, owned and operated my Alex, who founded VST. I love everything I do and stay quite busy.

Rocsi, you are welcome to share your experiences here, as it was your personal experience and that is what this forum is for, sharing the good and bad. if someone is bothered by your post, then they are welcome to move on by without commenting. I am so sorry for what you went through, I have heard of it happening, and I am sure it must be a truly terrifying experience, I can't even begin to imagine.

It is a shame to see people arguing and causing controversy over a post that is eight months old. Sent from my iPad using VST

People, have an intelligent conversation without cursing at one another, calling each other names or being disrespectful, please. We are getting quite tired of the attitudes and will not allow this to continue.

That is awesome, keeping my fingers crossed that you get the date, such an exciting time! -
I have a notebook in Evernote where I have kept all that type of information that is important to me that I want quick reference to. It is easily searchable and has personally been a great resource tool for me.

4 months out and falling off wagon
*susan* replied to mamamareli's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Guys, for the last time, return this thread back to topic as I requested last night and keep your personal drama to PM's. I do have the right to determine if I like where a topic is headed, and can lock it, ban people, etc. The same goes for the chat room. I am quickly losing my patience with some members and suggest, for the last time, reacquainting oneself with our rules. Thank you. Susan, Forum Administrator Sent from my iPad using VST -
4 months out and falling off wagon
*susan* replied to mamamareli's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Okay, everyone, while one poster was kind enough to post our rules, many of you appear to have skipped that one. I suggest everyone take a refresher course on our rules by clicking on this link: http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras§ion=boardrules Pay particular attention to where it mentions not attacking other members and being respectful. Bring it back to topic, which is a member asking for advice on how to handle cravings, etc. Remember, our stomachs were sleeved, not our minds or our mouths. Getting the sleeve does not automatically cure all our old demons. At four years out, I am in a serious battle with them right now, and reading some of the supportive (after all, we are a SUPPORT forum) posts on this thread have actually been just what I needed. If you can't be compassionate and supportive, then move on to another thread. If you want to argue with someone, take it to PM, because really, none of us want to be put in the middle of your pettiness. If you want to be rude, argumentative, etc., feel free to do so, but don't send myself or Alex emails complaining when I ban you for violating our rules. -

PCOS is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, which is largely a hormonal imbalance. I have it, and to be honest, the weight loss did not help with it at all. Then again, I am in my forties, so there are all kinds of weird things happening with my body now, oh the joys of getting older. Also, my weight loss was/is significantly slower than most, not sure if that is due to my PCOS or not though. Sent from my iPad using VST
