I am loving my sleeve too

I haven't gained anything back either. I have been losing at a fairly consistent rate, other than a few weeks where I plateaued. Like Daisy, I am wondering what you are eating.

    Odd question

I also had surgery two days in a row with no throat pain at all.
  3. Wow, sounds like you are doing well. Congratulations!!

    Reflections from a Fat Chick

Rosey, I am wishing you all the best for tomorrow. I am so excited to see how many of you are being sleeved in the next few days. I was sleeved the day after Elisabethsew. When I got to the hospital, I just asked the staff what room she was in and they pointed me in her direction. Unfortunately, I didn't get to visit with her much, because all I want to do is sleep for about a week anytime I have surgery. You will all have fun chatting with each other, I am sure.
  5. I was surprised by the lack of pain involved with the sleeve surgery. I was miserable after having my band and in a lot of pain. But I experienced very little, if any, real pain after the sleeve.

    Rate your liquids

It is odd how much are tastes change. I can no longer tolerate sweet things. I have also become somewhat lactose intolerant, and that is rough on me because I love milk.
  7. You do want to take some cash if you are planning to stock up on the nexium mups though, as it is much cheaper in Mexico.
  8. I wish I was in the same time zone as you guys, I would love to chat. But, alas, by the time you are all signing in to chat, I am sound asleep in my bed.
  9. I honestly don't know. When I started mushies, I was surprised at how quickly I literally felt stuffed. However, I am sure it is different for everyone. Like Daisy says, once you start eating more solid protein, I am sure you will tell the difference.

    The Price of Mexico

I hope you are able to find a good surgeon within your price range. I wasn't bored, all I wanted to do was sleep, sleep and sleep some more!

    WLS and Seniors

Doghouse, I hope you are well on the road to recovery. I had difficulty my first month, but once I got past it, everything was wonderful. Take care of yourself. I am excited to follow your weight loss journey, as I am sure many others are.

    WLS and Seniors

I think it is wonderful that you both had weight loss surgery. There is no age limit on wanting to be healthy. I can't imagine why people wouldn't be happy for you.
  13. Susie, you will do great! Check in and let us know how you are doing as soon as you feel up to it. Oh, and ten pounds in two weeks is great!

Congrats on getting your project done, I'm sure that is a relief. And, of course, congrats on your upcoming surgery!

    3rd Aug is my turn

Your going to have to change it from "the August girls" to the "the August guys and girls". Unless, Bob is a girl? :scared0:

    Uhmmm...sex?

Yep, you most definitely did say that! :lol0: I think sex is an important part of any healthy relationship. And fun too! :scared0:

    Is this how it is?????

As she is able to get a bit more food in her, she should notice her energy will start coming back as well. I slept a lot in April and could barely make it to 8 or 9 before I was in bed. But, as soon as I became well hydrated and took in more solid protein, I was back to my old self.
  18. The tropical punch flavored ones are amazing!! They were my favorite as well.

I did it, i did it, i did it

I use lots of Gold Bond powder, but it doesn't help much when it is 101 outside and I am sweating like crazy.

    WOW--so happy!!

The drainage tube didn't bother me at all. When they took it out, I was surprised at how much there was to take it out. It didn't really hurt coming out either, it just felt a bit uncomfortable was all.

    My future babies

You guys crack me up! It is good to be able to read here and start my day off with a nice chuckle.
  23. I love the sugar free popsicles, they really helped me through the liquid stages. You really feel like you are getting a treat with them.

    Is this how it is?????

I just posted about this in another thread, but I experienced a lot of what she is experiencing. My first month with the sleeve was not pleasant. I was dehydrated (in the hospital on IV fluids several times), it was a struggle to get anything down and when I did, I felt very sick to my stomach. But, it did get better. I am now able to eat without feeling ill. I cannot guzzle Water, but am able to take much larger drinks and stay hydrated now. I feel 100% better and the only way I know I have a sleeve is by the fact that I am only able to eat a very small amount of food before feeling full. Hopefully, she will start improving soon as well.
