Anything comparable to Nexium MUPS?
*susan* replied to debking811's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The Prilosec is OTC. In terms of size, they are a bit smaller than the Nexium Mups. I have no problems swallowing any types of pills, as long as I take them with water. -

I just drink it with water without any problems. In fact, I never dissolved any of my meds after surgery. -

Deb, I also ran out after just two months. At first, I didn't get anything to replace it. But, after a week of major reflux, I had to try something. I tried several things that did not work for me. Then, Elisabeth mentioned trying Prilosec. I did and it works just as well for me as the Nexium did. -

Prospective band to sleeve

I was walking right after surgery as well. Dr. Aceves advised me to wait on returning to the gym and resuming my full workout schedule until I was six weeks out from surgery. -

Having trouble transitioning into maintenance
*susan* replied to MacMadame's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
We just moved into an apartment that was much smaller than our home and have the same issue with carpet. So, I keep my scale in the closet and pull it out once a week to weigh now. I am actually happy about that because I was getting on it every day and the up and down fluctuations drove me crazy. -
I've been sleeved...coming home tomorrow!

Vegas, it is so awesome that you are getting to meet so many of the members right now! -
Judy, I am sorry you had to postpone your surgery. But, I am sure your mother really needs you and will appreciate having you by her side as she goes through this. You and your entire family are in my thoughts.

Vegas, that is great news that there is nothing seriously wrong. I am so happy for you. Let us know how bearded does with his surgery. I can't imagine Dr. Campos 40 pounds lighter either. We had our surgery on the same day and he didn't seem all that big to me then. Although, he did say that his weight tended to go up and down a lot due to his families great cooking.

GreenBayGirl, excellent post. Kudos to you!! -
Nancy, in the past, when I have strayed and have trouble getting back on track, I have done the five day pouch test. It helps get rid of all those carb cravings and gets you going again. Here is the link if you are interested in trying it out: Surgical Weight Loss 5 Day Pouch Test

Hi Amy, and welcome to the forums. One of the great things about the band is even if you fall off the wagon for a bit, it is there ready to get going again whenever you are. Have you checked out our local forums for your area? That would be a good place to post that you are looking for a fill doctor in Nashville, hopefully they will be able to help you find one. -

1st fill - reflux, and headache
*susan* replied to shasha's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Shasha, it is not terribly unusual to be a bit swollen after a fill, which is why most doctors require you do liquids only for a bit following one. However, if you are unable to even keep sips of fluids down, then it sounds to me like you are probably overfilled. Have you contacted your doctor and told him/her what you are experiencing? -
Where here....And she's banded!

Glad to hear Agnes is doing well. You, my kind sir, sound like a gem of a husband! -
I was sleeved at the beginning of April The first month, the weight was literally melting off of me. The second month I pretty much hit a plateau. I wasn't losing anything. Then, all of a sudden it just started coming off again. I didn't do anything different at any point. I think my body was just adjusting to all the changes it was going through.
