So I meal prepped for my husband for a really long time when he cut carbs out a few years ago. So I have a lot of different healthy foods recipes. I am trying to learn to cook for one without wasting. I have 5 kids and a step son. So I’m used to cooking huge meals. Tonight I made them spaghetti. For myself I had a little riced cauliflower ground chicken sugar free prego sauce and fat free mozzarella. My own little version of “spaghetti “. Of course only ate like an ounce lol. But I have leftover for tomorrow.

Thanks. I’m definitely doing everything right. I ended up just having chicken broth with unflavored protein for dinner that night and it helped settle my stomach.

Had my first episode of dumping syndrome. 😑 two weeks PO. What do you guys do to feel better? I almost don’t want to eat now.
-
I had my post op and I’m cleared for soft foods!!!!! So excited.

Ok so I’m not a sweets person but every once in a while I do want ice cream. So I mixed premier protein cookies and cream and instant sugar free chocolate pudding and added a scoop of vanilla protein powder. Blended and refrigerated it in 2 ounce containers. Omg. I ate one. I know that’s not much but it was good enough for me. So good guys.

Guys this isn’t really sweet at all. So yummy and look at the protein. Eek. Breakfast today ✔️

Congrats! I’m 8 days post op from sleeve and also had no issues. I also drink 50 to 60oz a day. I mean I do wake up at 5am. I went right back to work this last Monday. I only took 4 days off Thursday through Sunday. I work for the school district and have a desk job so it was so easy to go back. Super happy how things are going.

Welcome. I had sleeve on 5/11 and also feel great. I was in and out the hospital same day. Only issue I’ve had is I am not a sweets person so the shakes got old quick. But I did get unflavored powder so it’s going so much better. I’m ready for soft foods. Lol.
-
Oh yes. I forgot they made unflavored. Thanks. Hopefully that will help me get through the rest of these day. Thanks.

Ok guys I’m stuck. Day 6 post op. I hate sweet stuff never been a sweets person at all. Unfortunately most of all protein things we can eat are sweet. I’m grossed out now. I can’t stand the thought or taste of sweet. I want savory. Yes I have my broth but it’s never enough protein and the strained creamy soups. Still won’t meet my goal. I need ideas. I’m so ready for purred foods so I can get away from all this nasty sweet stuff.

Oh ok. Which surgery did you have? I had the sleeve. I’m doing good with liquid but I was aloud Greek yogurt sugar free pudding cream soups. By the 3rd day. Did you not get that option?
-
Why is it rough? I had mine the 11th and I’m doing great. Haven’t used pain meds. Haven’t had much pain either. I walk a lot. The only thing I can say is today it was hard to meet my protein goal. I was not hungry really. And I burp a lot lol. But gasx helps.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to share something my friend told me about and my dr approved was fine. Arnica tea and Arnica pain melt away pellets are great for after surgery. It’s amazing. The tea is so good and really help relax me. Check it out guys. It helps with bruising too. 😊

4 days post op gastric sleeve.Guys I feel great minimal pain. The abdominal binder is amazing and really helps. I get up and walk a little every hour. I’m meeting my liquid and protein intake. I am so happy I did this. I was so scared and now I feel great.

Fluid have been going great too. Got about 50oz today. I did a little a jello and some chicken broth. Lots of water.

Surgery gastric sleeve went so smooth yesterday I went home same day. Minimal pain. Was up and walking like nothing. I will say walking feels great. Not a lot of gas pain either. I was so scared and everything went wonderful. Walk walk walk guys. It makes a difference. Excited for my new journey.

Tomorrow is my big day and I’m not sure how I feel about it. I keep telling myself that it’s for my health. Having an autoimmune disease is already hard. I just want everything to go smoothly. I have a high pain tolerance. I’ve given birth to 5 kids all natural. As I have had surgery before. Just not sure how this going to feel.

I started my pre op diet last Thursday. My schedule date is 5/11 for the sleeve. I have lost a total of 34 pounds this year. I changed some of my habits when I knew I was going to work towards this surgery. I’m 5’4. I weight 280. Now I’m 256. I must say it’s not as bad as I thought. Keep going guys. We can do this.

I think what I most worried about is the keeping track and reminders to take stuff and when to take it. I have 5 kids and work for the school district at a high school. I stay busy. I’m getting this surgery because I have an autoimmune disease and they made it a medical necessity. I’m currently 260 and 5’4.

I’m having mine May 11th. I’m not scared of the surgery it’s self. I’m worried about the after.
