  1. Pezo, I am not sure what that lady was doing. I had a friend that had lapband last year and she only lost 40 pounds. But I saw what she was doing. Eating Cookies, ice cream, milkshakes, the frosting off of cake. We went to the same surgeon and I asked him what could have gone wrong. He told me to come in every time I notice that I am eating more than 4 oz. As of today I was told I can go on mushy foods and couldnt wait to have an egg per my drs instructions...and also started weighing even though I knew I wouldnt finish it all just so I cld be in the habbit. Remember the band is a tool and can either succeed or fail!
  2. I was banded on the 18th and felt hungry on day 7. But I remembered my surgeon telling me to make sure I get my water in. Make sure you are drinking your water requirement and eat your food slowly. I came home one day and was hungry... I warmed some ff cream of chicken up and ate really slowly, drank my water and had 2 tsp of sf pudding. 15 minutes later I was full. Remember this surgery is a life change and the greatest advice I got from my cousin is that all the food that I miss or crave is not going anywhere and life is not worth wondering about the Baconator at Wendys. LOL:biggrin: Good Luck all!
  3. Congrats on your band. I was banded on the 18th. Have you started excercising yet?

Excited Anxious & all of the above

So here I am more than 8 months then when I first decided that Lap Band would be the right decision for me. Last year I decided I had to do something and started my research steps. I completed a 6 month pre diet, a psych evaluation, nutrition counseling and this Wednesday I have a pre op appointment. I am ready for a change. High blood pressure, bad knees, and a low self confidence I am ready for it to disappear!
