  1. Can’t believe it was a month on 4/9. It wasn’t easy and still having issues with dizziness while going for walk/protein intake by 5 grams. Sometimes I see the scale move up or at a halt, but I got to remember it’s the non-scale victories that keep me going; being able to go for mile + walk a day or going from size 18 to 14 felt so amazing (no idea when last time I fit into that size was.)  So glad I made this lifestyle change.

      You look good and HAPPY!💃

  2. Good to know, thank you! Going to be a learning experience.
  3. I am surprised to hear how different some stages are at different places. I’ll definitely review my place’s guidelines on the butter with the fats especially. I like that idea of putting limits on certain foods. I should do that with Mac and Cheese, my temptation food.
  4. I’ll have to try a bit of the carrots, unsweetened applesauce, mashed potatoes, and check out the corn beef and decide from there. Do you know about having small about of butter? That’s probably wise, bring both my back up food just Incase. Never know what might upset my stomach. I forgot to double check that with the pudding about the artificial sweeteners. Thank you for the reminder, I definitely do not want to go through any of those symptoms.
  5. Thank you for responding. I totally forgot about the cabbage and the fibrinous benefits. I’ll definitely wait on the on bread. I appreciate your reply and help on this.
  6. My question is, is cooked carrots, cooked cabbage (st.Patrick’s days) unsweetened applesauce, mashed potatoes (no skinned- mashed well), pudding sugar free- all acceptable to try? Small bites of? I know no drinking 30 minutes after eating. Well down corn beef/ bread roll is out of the option right even tho it’s soft right? My dad is doing dinner at his house on Sunday to celebrate st. Pattys and I’m trying to see what I can or cannot eat. If I should bring a shake or bring just cream of wheat and if I can add butter to my cream of wheat.

You got a photo of your liver?! Lucky!! I guess my doctor doesn’t like me as much or my organs are not as pretty haha. So glad to hear your recovery so far is going well!!

    Pre-op advice?

Good luck on your surgery!! You got this!! Reach out if you need anything to anyone on here. Make sure you let your nurse/Dr. know if your in pain or need something for nausea that’s what they are there for. Best of luck😁

    Pre-op advice?

Thank you everyone for your advice and well wishes!! Sorry for not replying earlier or individually. My surgery went well on 3/9 but stayed in the hospital until 3/12 due to issues with labs, pain and unable to drink even sip of water. I am home now (3/13) pain is better, only hurts when I move positions when I am sitting/laying or if I walk too much. The nausea is the worst part for me. I am finally able to keep sips of water down and some protein shakes but it’s been tough I’m not going to lie. However, I keep reminding myself there is only up from here. To anyone who is going through the surgery soon remember to advocate for yourself and if you’re in pain or nauseous while in the hospital. Make sure you let your nurse/Dr. know. And best of luck we all rooting for each other.❤️
  10. Thank you all for your advice and recommendations with surgery coming up. Just got my surgery time and it’s becoming more real that it’s so close!!

  11. My surgery date is this Thursday March 9. It is coming up very fast as much as I’m excited, I’m getting very nervous. Anyone have advice on dos and don’ts right after surgery? Trying to make sure I have what I need at home for when I get home from hospital too. Thoughts? Thank you in advance! Michelle
