Good Tues evenin ladies... Maria..glad to see you doin well, sorry bout the migraine. In answer to your question...it would be best to get the exact terminology from Richmond,,,but I believe it says something like "No blind NG tube". Perhaps in the binder? Candra...in just freshly banded...the sweet spot as a tool will come...but in the mean time...what I have learned from SSF is that we need to practice/adhere to the rules of the band, so that when there is restriction, the tool will properly do its job, as long as we are doing ours. Again it is in us to help us, why I say, wish they could band the brain with the belly! hehe. Don't mean to get teachy on it, but is what I am still learning, because as we learn how the band does work, still we cannot push the limits with, or might slip, push or lose it. Hope this helps! How is everyone doing, getting back on track after the turkey feasting? I walked 30 min today, home from getting nails done...would have never even thought of doing it before! I can do it, now, yes I can! So suggestions and who can make it on Sat, Dec 12th or even Sun afternoon, Dec 13th instead? Of course some of us cannot, vacationing somewhere beautiful like...Hawaii, hmm!

Good Thanksgiving Eve to Everyone... Just wanted to say i.e for those who connect from work...but to everyone...thank you all for the incredible Band of SOS and the best support system a girl could have! It is incredibly fun, and 'raw' what we share...when I signed up for the band, I never thought that I would gain a whole wonderful group of sistas, too! I am thankful to the Lord for each of you, and will be a praying thru these holidays...that we will each make healthy choices, and remember to well care for ourselves...with Honesty (speaking up when we need to, if even to say no thank you), Forgiveness (if & when we make mistakes & they DO happen), yet Balance (to enjoy life and all things in moderation). HAPPPY THANKSGIVING...AND look forward to seeing who can make it this Saturday, KAISER POINT WEST, ARDEN @ 11:00am, with lunch afterwards for our time together! :ohmy:

Evenin all.... Ash, the sleeve was not offered at my time of orientation (had my surgery @ SSF), but if it was, I still would have gone with the band...still too much redoing the insides, the lost of weight toooo fast for me, (in several ways). I do like the accountability of the band as a good tool...for life, and a healthier one! Also, did not like the malnutrition side of things...as a compulsive eater I need to continue to do the mind work continually, with exercising and all things in moderation! I get to celebrate my bandiversary 12/10! (1yr) PB = Productive Burping, when the food you eat for various reasons...too fast, too large or just not band friendly comes back up (with saliva). Listening to our body signs...and knowing what it is saying, eating slowly, NOT talking while eating, chew chew and chew, also knowing what different foods may not go down as easy. Hope this helps! :thumbup:
