Yes...Happy Bandiversary...1st Week 'Out" W2T, Congrats!!! I am ecstatic to report for duty with these reports... Down 12 lbs and am in Onederland!!! (Have not seen in YEARS) PCP visit yesterday...taken off BSugar Med, Cholesterol Med and now can half BP Med! No more $100. Prescription Bills! Feeling pretty good, walking 25+ min a day, working on getting in all nutrients, got a Mega vitamin powder to add to shakes! Ok...now the challenges...dealing with the itchiness, Doc told me cocoa butter or benadryl cream, making sure to get all water in, and preparing for hubby's work Christmas party on Sunday nite! Thank you to all the Bandsters this month, I really appreciate our (W2T) comradeship to walk thru each step together, comparing notes, getting hints/helps and someone to explain our pain! -

Hey there, ho there week 2 team (W2T) hehe, and all Dec bandsters! Decided to not lurk as much and type! I am doing pretty good, still sore at the port site, but the rest of incisions are itching like crazy... which means a healing! Have been dealing with a dry cough, which am taking care of, and yes, Fran, a case of the growlies tooo! Funny what a one/woman/man(for u Pete & Mike)/band our bodies become after this surgery. LOL So last nite, got a bad case of the chills in the middle of the night, DH got my Mink blanket and covered me, but boy that was strange. Anyone else experience that? Found a great shake style Mega Vitamin at GNC, so add that to my shakes for Protein and Vitamins! Also, at our local GNC, they had Isopures for $1.17 on clearance, cause they expire in Jan. What a deal! Ok, finished ranting, hope our W2T are all doing well, haven't heard from, Mjenkins, Morgan, MaeMae, and a few others, hope all is well! -
Week 3Team o' December Bandsters 2B...your up! We are all rootin for ya, for steady hand surgeon teams, no complications, minimal gas and pain. Pete is right on with walk walk walk! Ask as many questions as you need to, of course in here, but with your doctors and nurses. We will be awaitin your return & reports! We pray the Lord cover each of you thru surgery!

roseyyyd1 replied to EmeraldCoastPhotog's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good Thursday evenin...fellow bandsters! Wow, does it feel good to say that! Just before I left the hosp, I said to my surgeon, I can't believe there is a band in there! So he pulled up a mobile pc system and showed me my x-rays right on the lap top! It went reallllly well, by the Grace of God and many prayers... some pain round the port, was a little in the neck (pain n the neck, hehehe). Here's to hopin that each of the week 2 newly banded and the troop who will be banded on the 12th, have whole, quick recoveries, with a steady surgeons' hands! Have taken some liquid pain reliever, so getting sleepy, look forward to feeling better already and chatting with you all tomorrow! Go FSTOP, Go Just A GIRL, GO GooseFRABA, Go Kerry, Go MJenkins, and all the new bandsterees! Woohoo! Here's to healthy new life beginnings! -
December 2008 Bandsters Names (Final)
roseyyyd1 replied to Florida Pete's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi Teresa...Congrats on your successful banding and hope you are recovering well! What is your hubby's name so that we may be praying for him? Thanks to him and you for serving our country in the most noble way! And as you need it, we are here for YOUR support, the least we can do while hubby is away. Please make sure you do take the time to take good care of yourself...wow, the new woman hubby will come home to! I understand the Senior thing as my son graduated this year, and one more as a Sophomore! Blessings and safety to you and family! -
December Week 2 2 B Banded...we are up! Thank you to all the week 1 'Bandsters' for coming in with reports and great tips/hidden hints, we could not learn from a book! You go Kerry, our forerunner of the week, and all other 12/08/08 surgeries! Keeping us all in prayer for continuing speedy & whole recoveries as well as wisdom to start the Bandster lifestyles! By the way, on the Wii Fit, it is a great interactive tool to use in starting out any kind of program, and also, helps you to continue to work the core...while learning balancing. It tracks your BMI & weight, while helping to set goals. The step and boxing are actually fun to challenge yourself in, and that does get the heart rate up! I lost inches & weight on it w/o having started any dieting, and it is so fun to try different activities! Just my 2 cents worth, I am looking forward to the J. Micheals Wii Fit version next! Have a blessed day!

I am right with you on that, want to have something to show, (like some room in the ole pants, lol) for all this hard work.... also with you on the after...have been doing the heart/head work for over a year now... That's 21-30-51 EXERCISE Challenge 4 12/08 Bandsters! (oops!) Good Mon Morn Dec 08 Bandsters! Can u believe only 30...less or more days for all of us to be banded & begin a new chapter in our lives?! It will be interesting to see the different pre-op plans, doctor requirements and more across the country! So the challenge...thought we all could start to exercise together today! Challenge: to exercise each day up to our Banding Dates...so it will fall anywhere from 21 days to 30 to up 51 days from now, to cover the month of Dec Band Surgeries. I am challenging myself to exercise 30 min+ for 30 days prior to my surgery. Anyone up for it? Thought we could log in our times/description of/how we're doing on the board, and ask Fla Pete to make a special siggie for those who are succesful! (I use SparkPeople.com to log in all!) (Lil extra story) At my local support group, I have met an incredible woman who is a bandster, who is in a wheelchair, with MS & knees waiting for operations. In just 2 months she looks wonderfully changed from being banded this year. Part of her story to share is that she can ONLY WALK under Water (aqua exercise) and yet she does it weekly to get healthy. She shared how important it was to do this Bfore surgery, and prep our bodies, with also a routine to get back into after surgery. She has been featured in a magazine, I will try to get a link, but her testimony has literally personally challenged me to MOVE! So, thank you for being a monthful of bravehearts to walk together with into a new chapter of our lives and 2BFine in 2009!

21-30-51 Excercise Challenge 4 12/08 Bandsters!
roseyyyd1 replied to roseyyyd1's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thank -you, FPete, Trina & Bandtastic, anyone else who has gotten out there to walk & move! Perhaps we will do another one after everyone is banded and healed, ready to start moving again! I just wanted to share, I have not been as faithful as I would have like to been, to walk everyday, but I did get in 90min+ per week, and when I went to Home Depot yesterday(large store to get around in) I could actually feel the difference in my back and legs, stronger and energetic! So we are allll walking into surgery with ready hearts to get healthy and then walking the lbs right off!:cursing: -
Hi Tamra, so sorry this has happened, will be prayin for your leg surgery, and then STILL the band! Please know our thoughts are with you, and we will be looking for your leg surgery report and the band! You are still one of us Holiday Hotties...cause there are Holidays in Jan & Feb! Go 2b-banded...and don't change that name!!!:cursing:
