Hello everyone!!! Yes, I agree with Pam, I researched the surgeries offered me and really knew the band was right! Which was interesting, because my support person was more bypass. But I knew w/ my way of thinking to wanting good accountability aftercare to desiring a slower steady & sure way of weight loss for me, the band was it. Even if the sleeve was offered, I still would have chose the band, and am enjoying everyday my choice w/ this method to continue to get healthy! BUT, make sure you do your research and as much as needed, checking the good & bad for all cases. Talking to people about the different surgeries (true stories) helped! You will know over time, which is right, dont rush decisions! Soooo, who all is game for Sac Support Saturday @ Kaiser Point WEst off of Arden, from 11:00 to 1:00pm... afterwards...Mimi's for lunch?! Hey Tina! How is everyone, I do keep up with the board reading...trying to keep hydrated tooo in this heat. Sending out an email, would like to do Mimi's for lunch after the next meeting, to celebrate turning the big 5-0! So glad I have gotten the band, I am feeling younger, more energy and healthier now, than I did @ 40! Definitely worth the waiting time & followups, of course all the support from our group too! I am taking the slower route, but sure & steady tooo, like the turtle! hehe tis right choice for me. Hope you all are doing well!

I have been back on track with a walking, I have one month til the 'Big' B'day and 3 months to our local 5K in September...so in training! Just curious, who is planning on making it to the Kaiser Sac Support group next Sat, and what we might do after, or is anyone besides Tina doing the seminar? I have heard this warm and real author speak before...she does well! For those who are interested... it is 11:00 - 1:00 PM, Kaiser Point West, Response Road, Sac. We generally meet for 1-1.5 hours then separate to respective groups of surgeries (RNY(Bypass), Band & Sleeve) So much support and comradrieship, ALSO a great clothing exchange, you can bring your clothing to, which is donated to a nonprofit org right after the meeting, in what is left. Hope all who are celebrating have a great Father's day tomorrow, and those who are missing Daddy (I am) enjoy the good memories and take time to be comforted also! Good Thursday afternoon all! How is everyone doing? Sorry, I have been MIA for awhile, have been taking care of school duties, home & church too! I am backing up onto track, w/ a 2mile walk(great cool day for it) and workout inhome. Hope everyone is doing well. Welcome to allll the newcomers...congrats on beginning such a wild, interesting and rewarding journey! (Cookiemonst-sp?) I had surgery in SSF, and am very glad I did...u can pm me with questions! Was banded 12/08...and am still on the learning curve...it is a lifestyle changing! I sure miss everyone, BUT I have been keeping up with the reading, so glad Tina and all are back, Reggie u still around? So here is a crazy thought...how bout a Vallejo Bridgewalk, THIS sat the 12th and lunch? Anyone game? Thought we could get one in before Chrissy's surgery next week. Sorry Riley, I cannot make the 26th, that is our support group day...Riley could u come here too? There is a plastic surgeon planned for that day AND the author of "Fat No More" w/ a seminar. I plan on going, anyone else (w/ Tina) doing the seminar afterwards? We could maybe even bring a light bag lunch, if anyone is game. Can't wait to see (& HUG) everyone again! Good Thursday evenin all... Welcome Rachelle, congrats on your journey, these ladies and one cooool guy are a great support and info team! Our support group meets each 4th Saturday at Kaiser Point West Facility in Sac, off of Arden & Heritage, 11:00 - 1:00, All WLS surgeries, Kaiser AND Non Kaiser patients. We usually have a joint meeting for an hour and then separate to respective WLS groups, the sleeve is growing!!! Hope u can join us! Usually afterwards the banders and 'sleevers' go to lunch. This month we are preparing for Nicole (Canolie's) C Ya Later..because she is moving (we dont do Goodbyes...cause we always see ya later online! hehe) Plans are still being set for this month, and we will post them here for afterwards. Had a great eve with Nicole (Canolie) & Chrissy (SodaPop) who came up to Lincoln to visit! Preparing for a much needed weekend getaway with me hubby of (& celebrating) 24 yrs! Hoping the band doesnt react to much to Tahoe elevation, hehe. Here's to thanking God it is about Friday! :smile2:

Good Monday to all (for some Easter Spring Break) WOW, was a great time on Saturday, Nicole said she was ready for some intervention for me with the 'baggy clothes', lolol, was gonna go get something smaller clos for me out the clothing exchange, hehehe lol. Candra we missed you, but your clos cop legacy continues on...we talked bad about John, he is really healthier, man forget those profile pics! Also I heard Ali got yelled at already for baggy pants, hehe.
