I think my band may have slipped. Im scared!

Thank you so much for your response. I'm hanging in there! So, you're saying that taking some of the fill out and waiting to refill fixed the slip?
  6. Hi all. Just 3 days ago, I went on a sailboat for 12 hours. during the sail, I felt a tightness in my throat whenever I tried to drink Water or eat anything and then my stomach would upset. I've been feeling the same since, but a little bit better I guess. The thing is though, I'm able to get some things down and not others. Like yesterday, I had an entire, big power bar and a 36 oz. smoothie. That was fine, but this morning, I couldn't drink down my coffee. I don't get it. Has anybody else experienced anything like this from being on a sailboat? Please tell me this will go away in time. Help! Thanks.
  7. what's average anyway? I'm 30 years of age and I live in NY. I've been banded since April of 2004 and my decision to do so is the best decision I have ever made. I was never obese, but I did and still do have a weight problem in my head and physically. I'm been working on my mental conditioning throughout my journey with the band and keep reminding myself that the band is a tool, not the answer. There is always work to be done. My goal is to eventually be well enough to get rid of the band all together, although at this juncture that idea petrifies me. I got the band when I weighed about 175. I now weigh 138 and I am happy with my weight. I feel more alive then ever and I'm not bogged down of what other people might think of me. I have always struggled with my weight through bulemia and other mental disfuntion, depression etc. I was banded in Monterrey, Mexico with Dr. Raumbaut struggled, who I would recommend to anyone, anytime. He was a complete professional, not to mention an absolute doll. I'm glad there is a forum like this online. Everybody needs a place to meet on things like this. Thanks!
