    Can't Get Enough Calories

Weight gan can also be due to fluid retention. Are you drinking 8 C. of fluid a day ? ITs as important as the protein. do contact your surgeon about a dietician/nurtritinist, the volume at one meal may be too much .

    What do you say?

Chill, It has only been a week. The amount you have lost so far has to do with surgery, not the band. It may take 3 fills befor you feel restrictions. Just eat like you should- not like what you did before.
  3. 65 #, not counting pre-op. Waffled at this weight for several months but had gall bladder surgery in 12/09; the weight is coming off again

  7. Met Dr. Hung last March, 2008. Was definitely afraid of any surgery. So glad he did the surgery, It has changed my life.
  8. it is NOt common. Is there some reason you believe this may happen? I have not had any problems with the band, 12 + months after surgery. Occasionally, some people can develop problems but these are rare. Come to the WLS group at St E's. Next one is 2/2/10 6:00 PM. We talk about all kinds of things. Most there have a lapband, a few have the gastric bypass, and some caome in anticipation of surgery or to support their family member who has

    Lost Too Much Weight

Hope the surgeon has reassured you. You may have bruised the site of your surgery; but everything may be OK. Just rest. It is treacherous. My car battery died this AM , so nothing went as planned, here either.

    Lost Too Much Weight

Congrats!! you are doing fine. Really does sound like your doctor doesn't understand the amount of lifting, pulling, anfd pushing you do at work. ( All could affect the abdominal muscles)

    I'm a mess. GAINED

Factory Girl, You have lost before and now admit there is a problem with weight gain. Good for you. Do not beat yourself up for falling. Just get up and get going. Our prayers are with you. It is SSOOO easy to slip back:scared2:. Been there, done that. We all have highs and lows. Just take time to focus on yourself.

    Lost Too Much Weight

Amy, You are also about 3 days post going back to work. The areas you mention would be sore from your attempt to go back to work. Still rest. You will feel bette rin another day or 2. rest is the best medicine.

    Lost Too Much Weight

Amy, Welcome to the club, we all make mistakes. This is a learning process. Remember, when a toddler is learning to walk, we don't scold or berate them when they fall. You, are a toddler in this lapband experience. For now, just rest. Perhaps your surgeon underestimated how much you lift, push, and pull, so they left it up to you. Where i work, I had to have a note if there was any restriction; it was a liability issue. Most places do. Being at home and setting your own schedule is one thing , being in the work place is different. See how you feel in a few days. I did too much last Dec after banding -everything turned out OK but i worried, also. Right now you need to heal and rest.

    Lost Too Much Weight

Amy, At this point, just rest and take it easy.. Lifting includes pushingitems down the check out counter, 20 # may be the max but you were probably doing it over end over. If you bagged, you probably did lift too much. ( Been there) just let your surgery heal. take some pain meds and rest.

    Lost Too Much Weight

umystifyme, Congrats. Remember, you cannot lift over a certian weight, for several weeks. that may affect you at work. This will get better. Stay in, exercise, and rest. Happy New YEar and New You!
