    April Fools Weightloss Challenge

    Hi All, I'm still in it. just haven't lost any thing of late. Figured out what was going wrong-- hope to change my line soon!!
  2. Hi All my Goal for March is the same as for Feb- #245. Lost :mad2:zilch in Feb. but the med changes made me tired :sleep:and i started grazing :confused:. So here i go again !!

    Do you have a December Date?

    JoanMarie, Trina, and Auggies, i'm in the same boat. Had 2 fills for a total of 5cc. do well for a week-10 days then no restrictions. Am getting concerned, the Doctor took me off the BP RX as it was so low but other meds make me crave salt - then i feel like I ate too much . last 2 days have been horrid.
  5. My list changes - want a pair of real shoes- no birkiew, clogs, or crocs want to swim in a nice swimsuit. have a great pair of jeans

    Hi All, i think it's the weather and the lull after all the changes. i had my 2nd fill (started yoyoing again)- and am on track, again.
  9. Hi All, Maybe it isn't just us-let's blame the weather. :thumbup: i, too, gained 3# :mad2:this week when i went for my 2nd fill. But have lost that and 1 # more. i may not make 250 by next Sunday but i am still losing.:tt2:

    What FINALLY made you decide to get banded??

    gentylwind, Am so sorry for your loss. We have all missed opportunities with our children, family, and friends because our weight ( or related health problems) got in the way. Please don't focus on your losses and the past ; you should always remember your child but focus on the future wins.:thumbup:
  13. Hi, Everyone is doing so well! :thumbup:Still at 257, even with salt binging- :thumbdown:I am trying full liquids with 1 meal for the day to see if i can stop this craving.

    :scared2:Off All BP meds and they cut my inhalant in half. :smile:giving all the old (fat) work clothes to local groups that help women ( abused, or with other problems) get a job.
  15. Want to buy lingerie from Victoria's Secret Want to swim in a regular swimsuit; Want to wear real shoes- no more Birkenstock or clogs.
  16. Hi, Per the scale, Am down 3# this week, from 260 to 257. But on a salt binge. My BP was so low, they took me off all the BP meds this week and cut 1 inhalant in 1/2. No longer light-headed but still "'Want Salt!" :crying:Am thinking of doing full liquids for a day to break this obsession-any advice out there?
  17. :thumbup:Hi All, ready for the next challenge. find it helps stay on task. Hit 257 # this morning so met my goal + 4 #more. Also gave away my Fat Fat work clothes and any thing i really don't want to wear again . Off All BP meds, too!!!

    pcmfarm, Good Luck. From what others and I found to be true- it takes a while for the fill to 'kick in'. Had my 1st fill on the 4th- it really hit today- :eek:when I was back on a regular diet.BUT IT WORKS!!:crying:
  19. Some things i won't miss-- BP meds, CPAP machine, sore feet knees, and ankles, being too tired to do anything. thigh friction. Not speaking up 'cause you don't want (or feel like you deserve) attention.:thumbup: avoiding swimming and other sports - cause of my size
  20. Doxie, My Starting Weight in February was 269#. my goal was to get below 260- but am at 260 now:thumbup: - so let's shoot for 250#by the end of Feb. I seem to stay at a wt for a while, then lose suddenly

    OMG I got "stuck"

    Hi, I got stuck if I took too big a bite, or if the food tends to stick- Pita bread had me barfing the the restroom of the greek restaurant. rice in soup , did it to me tonight.

    U.S. Bariatrics thru me a Curve Ball

    Florida Pete, is it the oatmeal or the sugar often added to oatmeal they object to? All food has some carbs. oatmeal is also high in fiber, and B vitamins - talk to a registered dietitian. The new term may be nutritionist but one doesn't need training or a license to be a nutritionist, but a dietitian does. If the concern is the about possibility of sticking- Try Cream of Wheat- also with fiber but finer grained and less likely to get stuck.- again add your own SF sweetener. Myself, really am rushed in the AM and stick to some protein in milk.

    MRS Mauricio, It was a # of factors for me. I'd yo-yo'd all my life, but relatively healthy.My knees hurt and but not too bad, until 2007 ended up on a bunch of pills, developed asthma, which i couldn't shake. They started talking about using Oxygen at home :w00t:and I'd had enough of being sick. Am much better now but have a ways to go.
  25. UKCATSFAN, I am in it for the next challenge- set a new deadline. Lost 1 more #. Seems like i get stuck for a while then the #s come off overnight...
