I am 6 months post and I still have burning sometimes in my port area. It dont last but about 1 minute and then gone so I dont worry about it! It dont happen everyday but maybe 3 days aweek! i think everything is ok!

hello! You will not have restriction until you start getting fills and it might not be your first fill. It could take a while. I am 6 months post and I still dont have restriction like I really need to lose weight. You have to use will power. Good luck!

Honey I am here to tell you that it WILL help you if you let it! I was banded Aug.22 and I still cant believe how much it helps me. Before I got banded it was so hard to stick to a diet but now it is not hard at all. It is not really a diet you just have to watch what you eat and how much you eat. It is not going to let you eat to much without making you hurt. You will learn when you need to stop. If you will just take a few bites and say ok am I still hungry and I bet your answer will be no. That is when you need to get up from the table. Good luck!

I was banded on Aug. 22 and I had alot of back pain also. It got better after about a week but I get tried real easy still and when I do my middle back hurts bad. Gas-x does help!

Dont be scared. You can do this. I would not change mine for the world. I have only had mine for 2 weeks and I love it. As far as support goes, baby you will get alot of support here! Good luck!

I would like to say good luck to you. You can do this. My doctor didnt require a diet before surgury. All my doctor said was no eating after midnight the night before surgury. After surgury I was SUPPOSE to be on liquids for 2 weeks but I went to mushie after 1 week because I could not take it anymore. I had 2 weeks ago tomorrow and I have lost 20 pounds so far. Mostly all I eat is mashed pot. and mac and cheese. I eat slow, chew well and I have no problems. Good luck!

Hello and sorry you are not feeling well. I had my surgury on Aug.22 and I feel great. I didnt have alot of pain with mine except for gas pain. The best thing to do is WALK, Walk, WALK. Also take some gas-x. As far as drinking water, just take your time and drink slow and it will get better. I did the same thing. I could not drink what they wanted me to drink until a few days had past and I still dont drink 64oz. a day like I am suppose to. All you can do is your best and that is all. I promise if you will walk you will feel better faster!

Hello! I was bandedon Aug. 22 and I got the realize band and I have not had any trouble at all. From the time I had my surgury I had to take pain med. 2 times and only took half of dose. I hear alot of people talk about they are sore at there post site but not me. The realize band is wider than the lap band so they say it dont slip as easy. I am real happy with my realize band. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks and I have lost 20 pounds now. My doctor does not require a pre-op diet so that 20 pounds is what I have lost as of the morning I had my surgury. Good luck with your choice of your band.

Mine does it to if I click on new reply on the left bottom but now I click on quick reply on the right and it works!

i also have to sleep on the machine and so does my husband. He uses it everynight and cant rest with out it. i dont use mine all the time. All I have is the nose pillows and they are comfortful and you can sit and watch TV in bed with not problem. I had the one that went over my nose but I didnt like it. They will let you pick which one you want. Also you will have to sleep on the machine 2 weeks at least 7 hours a day or night before the will release you to have your surgury. They put a card in the back of your machine, it looks like a credit card and after the 2 weeks you take it out and mail it in to the doctor and they download it and can tell if and when you wore it. They know if you had the nose piece on or if you just had your machine running. They are real smart. My husband had to do his a extra 2 weeks because his card was not pushed in all the way and there was nothing for them to read. I had my surgury on Aug. 22 and my husband is having his Oct.6. Hello! I know what you mean. I was banded on Aug. 22 and I was so hungry too. I know we are not suppose to but I started eating mashed potatoes and grits because I could not take it anymore. I dont eat much and I dont have any pain or any problems at all. Also I am still losing weight! I am not telling you to do it, I was just sharing what I am eating with you! Good luck!
