Gastric bypass performed in 2011. Lost much of the weight….no big complications. Then started some regain (aided and abetted by bad habits). Regained 40 lbs. Started tracking calories, macros etc - working with Team RH (UK based). Lost the weight and some more!
Over the past four years I have started having chronic muscle wasting and loss of strength in my legs / shoulders etc. Lots of investigative work carried out but still no answers. Neurologist says it is due to the bypass - I feel it is a ‘get out ‘ for him because he can apportion the blame. I’m slowly losing my mobility. But I’m fighting hard to stay active and mobile and keep on working. I hope to retire at 60 yrs old .. so another 5 years to go yet!
