CURIOUS CAREN

I have the same experience. When I am getting full, my ears hurt, but it feels more like pressure in them. I have come to the conlcusion that it is my sign to close my mouth, I am full....

I go for my first fill in about 1 hour.I think I am more nervous about the fill than I was about the surgery. Can anyone tell me.. Where you able to return back to work after you recv the fill? (sameday)

From a different point of view.. I had my surgery on Sept 5th (Fri), and returned to work on the following Monday. Still a little sore, but I have a desk job, so I just had to make sure I got up a walked around 30-45 minutes. As far as telling your boss, no you do not have to tell anyone you are having it done. I work in a small environment, and I have yet to tell anyone here that I had it done. To add to the mix, one week post op, and I was preparing for hurricane Ike. Which had me doing a little more than what I had expected to be doing at that point, but I was more than physically capable of doing the needed preparations. Everyone is different, but I just wanted to let you know that yes it can be done.

I was banded on Sept. 5, and I am in the same boat. My doct said for me to eat more protein, like fish, and this has helped. Surviving hurrican IKE has been the BIG problem. 11 days so far w/ out power, and it is very hard to make the right choices on food when there is not much of a selection....Thankfully my doc. starts his patients out on mushies after a two day liquid diet.... I have read that once we get our first fill, the hunger pains will subside...

I am two weeks out, and the bruising is almost gone. My mom said it looked liked someone had punched me in the stomach, the bruising look awfull, but it does go away...

I was banded this past Friday, I am back to work today. It has been a great experience so far. I am a little sore at the incision, but other than than that I am feeling pretty good, except that my stomach is now growling. I was able to drink about half of a protein shake this morning about 7 am, should I already be hungry.

I will be banded on 9/5... I plan on returning to work on the following Monday. Just wondering how many others did the same, and how it worked out for you.

I will be banded on Friday too. I was doing ok untill today, I am getting very nervous. Good Luck to you...

Thanks to all of yall for the helpfull advice. I have a pretty easy desk job, that is low stress. I will shoot for Monday and see what happens. Woo Hoo, just a few more days. I am getting a little nervous now.

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Caren and am from Texas. I have been trying to get approval from my insurance for 1 year now, and decided to be a self pay. Sept. 5 is my big day. I can't wait for this needed life change.:tt2:

I did not go through true results. I went to a a seminar in Dr. Spivak's office and was immediatly scheduled for a date. I could have done it sooner, but I was waiting on a Friday. I went to the seminar on 8/16. Everything happened pretty quickly being a self pay. The office staff was wonderful. I originally went through Journey Lite, and they are a big joke in my eyes. Regan, I never thought of it like that. Woo Hoo, me too. This time next week, I will be starting my new journey. Haaaaaa.. Feels so good. Can you tell, I am a little excited.
