  1. Happy 31st Birthday sadmommyof1!

  2. 3 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 3rd Anniversary sadmommyof1!

  3. I have this through the state of PA, w/ the insurance I have (unison) it says something along the lines of they don't assist w/ weight loss. i was wondering if it was medically neccisary if they would cover it.
  4. does the lapband? Do they give free consaltations? or would my PCP have to refer me some where if medicare covers? I just feel really weird calling up my PCP to schedule a appointment specifcally to talk to him about this. He's a little cold and really not no helpful.:cursing:
  5. Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me. I really don't know where to start I definetly need help and don't know where to turn. I'm a 27 yr old stay at home mom of a soon to be 3 year old. I am depressed, I feel worthless, I don't even look in the mirror anymore. I'm to embaressed to take my daughter to places, and even better myself and find a job. No one will want to hire me. I believe I'm on Medicad if that is goverment insurance through tje state. I'm probably close to 300 pounds I'm a border line diabetic and only 5 ft 2. I guess what I'm asking is will medicad (if that's what I have) help me pay for this? If I was to try to get someone to help me pay for this or finance this what would it cost out of pocket? I want to get my life on track, I want better, and to be able to do for myself. My PCP just tells me I need to loose weight. I KNOW I have to I've tried. I need some help.
