I met my BF on here. Isnt that funny? He started IMing me in private asking about the surgery and stuff. Turned out we had the same surgeon and went to the same classes (different times). He live a good 40min away, but so far we have made it work. Have been together for 3 months and so far so good. We are both SLEEVED so we go through all the rough patches together ... he is great. Ok guys I havent been on in a while. Hope everyone is doing well. I am no 4 months out and have lost 70lbs so far. YAY ... but have been stuck at the same weight for almost a month. I guess I have to start excercising now .. :001_smile: So now to the real issue. I am seriously going bald:scared0:. I brush my hair and chunks of hair comes out. Its so scary. I know it was going to happen, but this much? OMG I want to cry:sad0:. Is there really NOTHING we can do to help with this? I feel like in a couple of more weeks I am going to be bald at this rate. AHHHHHH .. HELP!!

Hi Pamela yes I went through the Kaiser in Harbor City. I don't think they have one in Torrance, but I might be mistaken. My surgeon was Dr. Zane and I totally love him. Good luck with your decision. It was the best one I made :-)

I am 4 months out and I have always drank while eating. I just cant NOT drink and eat. Its IMPOSSIBLE for me. It hasnt hindered me one bit. But I guess it really is a personal issue. I can do it though ... Good Luck .. I love my sleeve!!

LOL ... Congrats. I am on the same boat. Just need 7 more pounds to hit onederland but ive been stuck at the same weight for a month now. I want to kick your lil runner too .. LOL .. CONGRATS!

I love my sleeve. I, just like Tiffikins, had the same issue. Losing and gaining my adult life. I was 5'3" and 276lbs. That was just too much for my little frame. I dont regret my sleeve one bit. I havent done as well as Tiffikins but I am 70lbs down in 4 months. I love it. I dont regret it and like she said the scares are minimal. Tiny little dots and the biggest one is like 1 inch long. OMG I dont want to cut my hair. It took FORVER to get to the length it is now. Maybe I can layer it, but not cut the length off. AHHHHHH .. you have no idea its CHUNKS of hair that is coming out. I feel like a cancer patient. Ok well I will go buy that Shampoo and start OD-ing on all types of vitamins ... anything to help re-growth at least. What about FISH oil. I heard something somewhere about FISH OIL.

What is it with the 204 .. I am stuck between 204-206 ... arrgghh. Been stuck for almost a month ... CONGRATS ... hope I can reach it soon too :-D

How did you guys do it? I still have 60lbs to go. I have lost 66 in 3 months but would have LOVED to have lost the 100lbs by now. What do you guys do? Eat? Excersise? Tell me please ... Congrats to all :-D

I wouldnt have gotten to this point where I needed to have WLS, but I dont regret my sleeve. It has been the best thing for me. I havent started the excersising yet, but will soon. Also, I would have pigged out before surgery. I didnt, I put myself on a liquid diet at 1 1/2 weeks before. Man .. I wish I could have a Tommy Burger :-D

I feel you guys. I am ALWAYS cold now. I was always super HOT! Even during winter. You would NEVER catch me with a coat on. Now I had to go buy a goose down one. Granted I live in Los Angeles, we have pretty nice weather all year round, but I am ALWAYS freezing. This is insane. Figured it had to be because I didnt have as much padding anymore :-D

I get stuck too. Sometimes for 2 weeks I see the scale NOT MOVE or move up 1 lb. Man oh man, I know how you feel, but eventually it starts moving again. Dont get discouraged. It will happen. Slow is better anyway :-D

Nikki, I sooo feel you. I have dropped over 50lbs in 2.5 mnths and went from a a size 24 to 16 now. But I still feel GINORMOUS. I too am saggy and feel like I looked better when I was fatter. I was nice and round. I totally understand what you are going through, as I am going through the same thing. :crying: Let not give up or give in. The mirror should eventually catch up with your brains :thumbup1: Everyone tells me how great I look now and I also say "WHAT are YOU talking about". I feel as though I look the same. Anyway .. it will happen for us, just wait and see. Look at Tiffy .. she is TINY! Cant wait to get like that :lol0:

Well I only had 2 drinks and I was tipsy. I didnt over do it and everything turned out fine. Thanks for your response guys :-D Happy New Year :crying:

Hello everyone. I haven't been on here for a bit. I have a quick question. So tonight being New Years eve and all, I was wondering If I can have a drink or 2. I am almost 3 months out. I tried calling my surgeon and the help nurse but Kaiser seems to suck during the holidays. I can't get an answer. Please HELP! Hi Tiffy .. No dont have the old paperwork, but I am almost positive that it didnt say anything about alcohol. I only drink mixed drinks anyway, you know the girly kind. And even before the surgery I was a lightweight. Just dont want to miss out since I am having a New Years party. My BF just had his sleeve done on 12/15 .. probably not a good idea for him to drink then ha? LOL ...

Good thing Kaiser covers the penelectomy (SP?) Kinda like a tummy tuck. I just have to buy new boobs. I am 42 lbs down and my boobs are getting smaller :-(

I had my surgery on 10/09/09 and I had my 6 week follow up with my surgeon yesterday and he told me it is totally normal. He said that since we are losing so fast we are losing muscle first. The fat is then converted to muscle, but in the meantime you lose inches like crazy. Take a pair of pants that fit you super tight today and try them on again next week. I bet they fit you then .... be patient, I am :-)

Totally possible. i was sleeved on 10/09/09 was wearing size 24 and now not even 2 months out I am wearing a 16/18. Totally possible, and I havent even really done any type of real excersise (SP?) Starting Wt 271 now 228. Love my sleeve :-)
