  1. do whatever you can to get fluids. It may take a few days to be able to get up to the recommended amount, but keep trying. Dehydration can land you back in the hospital if you're not careful.
re; not hungry - that's extremely common and one of the advantages of the surgery. Hunger does return for most people sometime during the first year - and when it does, things get a lot more challenging. So take FULL advantage of that. Definitely eat what your clinic recommends because your body needs the nutrients, but beyond that, take advantage of not being hungry. It'll never be easier in your life than it will right now to lose weight. It was a little weird for me to get used to at first, but never being hungry and not giving a flip about food made it super easy to stick to the eating plan (my hunger came back at about five months out)
    Thank you

  2. I set an alarm on my phone to go off every 15 minutes for a few days. It got me into a routine of constantly sipping. My dietician said if I'm not getting the Protein Shakes in to make sure I'm at least getting Water to stay hydrated. It will help with feeling nausea. After a few days I just kept doing it. It gets a little annoying at first to have the constant reminder to sip, but it helped me. Stay hydrated my friend!
    Thank you

  3. March 10
started 2 week liquid diet today. Only allowed sugar free drinks, Water, Protein Shakes and for snack a few choices of vegetables
its been really rough so far/ how bad would it be if you cheat?
i just want a boiled egg or some tuna salad. I’m so not a sweet person I need something savory. Even plain Greek yogurt will do
    Hi Krasavitza,
Im on day 13 of 14 on a liquid diet. I went with the milk and yogurt diet. I had also the option of 2 shakes and 300cal meal with extra veg. But the first was easier to go with. Day 3 is hardest, but after that it gets so much easier. Spoke to my bariatric nurse on friday and she said as Id lost 20lb in 10 days to swap out some of my yogurts and add a 300cal dinner. So if after a week you are still struggling speak to your nurse to see what options you have or swap outs you can do. Good luck, you’ve got this [emoji1303]

  4. I have fibromyalgia (officially diagnosed 12/22) and deal with pain daily. I'm not on any of the medications they have available and trying to learn my body, what it's capable of, and living with it. Has anyone had either the sleeve or bypass as well as fibromyalgia? How has the surgery affected your fibro symptoms? Thanks!

  5. Hi everyone,
Booked my surgery a few weeks ago, for 3rd March 2023 (I wanted sooner, but my sister is also having done and to satisfy the downers in my family we are having it done together and she needs to save a little more)
Anyone else in the March 2023 club?
Look forward to hearing from some of you
March 1st. I've been waiting for a date since 2019. Finally, it's here.
